Regular grocery stores sell dried herbs as well!

You can purchase dried herb mixes from pet stores, just keep an eye on the label to make sure it’s appropriate. In a pinch, you could try a health food store. As long as it’s a bunny-safe herb, it should be OK. Or you could buy some fresh parsley, cilantro, etc. and dry them yourself.

That’s a good idea Dana. Fresh grass would provide the same…[Read more]

If he’s eating hay now, my guess is he just has a bit of gas. I would keep up the simethicone, it won’t hurt anything. Fluids too. Will he eat the critical care willingly if you put it in a dish? Sometimes you have to let it sit for awhile before they will show interest in it. If not, then I agree with giving him small amounts at a time. Poop is a…[Read more]

I will keep the filling nature of Critical Care in mind, going forward. That said, today was a good eating day for Hunny! My girl ate 15 pellets and some pieces of cilantro this morning, seven more pellets over the course of the afternoon, and she took several bites of mashed/soaked pellets this evening! Hay still seems too difficult; I watched…[Read more]

Thanks, y’all. Well he’s doing a bit better. He’s finally moving around a bit and all of the sudden he’s eating hay, so I guess that’s a good sign! A few poops, even. Still not interested in his usual veg/herbs, though. And definitely still not acting like his usual self..

@DanaNM, Unfortunately not able to take his temp, but his ears did feel…[Read more]

It wouldn’t be good for them to eat the pee pads, so use them with caution at first. I wouldn’t say poisonous exactly, but there’s a thickening polymer type material that could cause blockage if eaten.

You might just try a good water rinse of the area after the vinegar to remove and residual smell.

Ughh I’ve been in your situation, I’m sorry. 🙁 how is he doing now?

Are you able to take his temp? Knowing if his temp is low will be helpful.

I would not give the reglan. If he is in pain the stomach contractions without appropriate pain management could be very painful for him.

Def keep up the supportive care you’ve been giving. Syrin…[Read more]

Have you tried offering fresh grass?

it would also be good to try to diversify the veggies in the meantime. Kale can sometimes cause gas, which can lead to stasis, so eating heaps and heaps of might have contributed a bit. Kale also is high in calcium so typically shouldn’t be a staple. You might try offering romaine, dandelion, or cilantro n…[Read more]

So, against my judgement, my partner lightly pushed to let them free roam in the living room. He has been extremely tolerant, but definitely frustrated at this process so I decided to let him see what may happen. If it went poorly, he would understand my conservative approach. If it goes well, then great!

So he mediated them in the L-bend like…[Read more]

Sprinkle bunny safe herbs such as rosemary (but don’t put to much) , watch how your bunny reacts to it or it could cause dangerous disruptions to digestive system. Hope this helps 🙂 GOOGLE rabbit safe herbs from a trustworthy site

I only give her about 1/8 cup at night. She mostly just wants to eat greens and is very picky abt everything else

Definitely keep syringe feeding water, and I would also pick up some critical care for your bun, it has a lot of nutrients he isn’t getting while not eating. Great job catching it early! A nice belly rub can sometimes help move things along, as well as feeding some of his favorite veggies soaked, wet veggies help move the gut.

The only reason I decided to get Fable was the knowledge that Wick would have increased time alone at home due to myself and my partner’s employment. Prior to that, I had no worries about Wick being lonely.

Licking isn’t always a sign of loneliness. Most of the time it’s flattering for you!

    Hello all,

I could sure use some assistance! So Teddy (5ish year old Lop, neutered) has been going through a particularly rough molt this time around, and he appears to be in stasis 🙁  And I’ve been trying so hard to keep up with changing out his water daily, vacuuming, brushing, etc…

I noticed yesterday that he hadn’t eaten all of his…[Read more]

The ear offers a very good vein, so it’s not unusual for a vet to place an IV there. If you see a scab, then I’m going to guess that’s what it is. The fur should grow back eventually.

Have you tried mixing up some critical care, putting it in a dish and then just leaving it with her? She might eat it after a while, when no one is watching. I…[Read more]

    Thanks everyone!

I went out today and got him some Oxbow Joint supplement treats. He seems to like the taste of them, so hopefully it will help.

@Bam haha, I can’t imagine edible poops would be that tasty. Perhaps he had a bun patient complain about the taste lol.

I completely agree with LBJ. She knows theres good stuff in there but she cant quite figure out yet how to get them out. Very good exercise for her! She gets to use both her brain and her body; cleverness, coordination, finer motor skills with muscles and teeth.
