I think the mats I bought have siloxane or something in them. It doesn’t appear to be toxic or anything but I do wonder if it will make the buns slip around more in the other flooring. They don’t appear to be having any trouble.

It could be his poops hat are smelly. Even neutered buns can have strong smelling poop. It’s then a strong onion-like odour.

That’s a great point, I hadn’t thought of that. His bowl is directly on the ground and he seems to have to stretch pretty far down to get to it. I’ll try switching to a bowl with a stand so it’s easier for him 🙂 Thank you!

I’m late to this, I hope Moni is still fine and I expect she is. Ingestion of some veggie oil could perhaps cause  some poop weirdness, but nothing really serious. She will perceive it as it dirt and try to groom it off, which is normal and good.

I agree, raising bowl a little might help. Also not to fill right to the top if he’s mostly doing this after you refill it. He might be sticking nose in too far, not gauging the depth properly, or just drinking too fast.
