I completely agree! Rabbits are very much  “better safe than sorry”-type animals. She will venture out, but she needs time. My bun has had access to my fenced-in veranda since May, (when I’m there to watch him), but it was only the other day he decided to go out on it. Now he barely wants to go back in 🤣

I am bonding a trio as well and it has been a long process but I think they told you to give up a little too soon. My trio has a more difficult pair as well and recently they’ve been giving kisses on the head. Some buns do molt a lot, but it also varies from year to year, I’ve noticed. My bunny Bam could shed endlessly one year and normally the next. Some buns shed in patches so they get bald spots. Which is still normal, albeit not very pretty 😂

New Zealand and American are similar breeds, but their body types are a bit different. I was mostly going off the color (NZ come in red and black) and size. However, color does not necessarily mean anything, particularly in mixed breeds. You might get a better idea once they are full grown. 🙂
