Couches do tend to smell very strongly of humans so they seem to be a problem for some buns.

I’ve seen these couch protectors that I think are meant for dogs. I wonder if something like that might help? Both with blocking the triggering smells and making clean up easier?

She sounds a lot like my Myra. She is very big on booping me and nudging, which usually means I’m in her way, or she is inquiring about the availability of treats. 🙂

We’ve only had her a few months and she also only likes pets when she’s already laying down, but she’s getting more happy with them every day. So just keep at it. 🙂

Don’t feel discouraged! Shy bunnies can take a while to enjoy pets. My advice is to play hard to get! Definitely don’t worry! You are doing everything you can and now it’s just up to Dixie as to when she is comfortable with you. Wilbur was like Dixie and didn’t really approach me for awhile, but now he won’t leave me alone! As she is with you longer your connection will get stronger. Don’t worry!
