It sounds like we should not put them in any situation at all where we have to chase/grab them. Is this what you all are saying?
Yes that’s basically it. 🙂 Agree with everything Dana said. Feed them inside the pen, and schedule their meal (or one of them) for when you want to put them up at night. Or you can use a special treat…[Read more]

Oooh okay thank you! It’s hard to find reliable information on what and what not to feed… I didn’t buy any if the safe lettuce because the lady said it caused diarrhea … but I’ll try some cilantro and basil instead since she loves the parsley so much!
Is she okay to continue eating what I’m feeding her as I start introducing the other…[Read more]

I have a neutered 7 month old male and an un-neutered 4 month old male (who was supposedly a girl, haha) who have not yet met each other.
My problem is I am moving overseas in 4 weeks (second week of September/date not flexible) and wanted to bond them before moving because the country I am moving to has no rabbit rescues (if they hate each…[Read more]

@Louiethebunny Those are really helpful things to train a bunny to do! The circle thing is cute. 😊 He’s so smart! Thanks for the ideas. I’ll try to train mine to do things like that when they’re more comfortable with me. 🙂

Just an update. The buns are definitely stressed. Unfortunately the only way to get them out of their pens is to get a broom and kinda force them out. I could call them and give them a treat but I dont want them to associate being called as a bad thing and then not come to me when i need them to come (like putting them back in their pens after…[Read more]

Absolutely agree with the others. The risk of cancer is small. Neutering is more for behavioral issues. He may be a good boy now, but he would need to be neutered if you ever wanted to get him a friend.

Ah, this is helpful!
You should modify their set up so you do not need to handle them daily. This has likely set you back a lot with your bonding. So, this could mean moving their pen to be in the main room area where you spend the most time, giving them free-roam of a larger area, or spending more time in their area with them.
In terms of…[Read more]

Glad she is doing better!
As far as veggies, cilantro is usually very popular and can be given regularly. 🙂 The green leafy carrot tops are also very nutritious and popular. Parsley shouldn’t be give too often as it has high oxalate content. Cabbage also is unfortunately not a great one to feed because it often causes gas. Check out this list…[Read more]

Sorry to be late in replying. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL WHO ANSWERED! Very! We have been doing some of the things you mentioned — hand feeding; lying on floor. But we certainly can do that much more. Here’s my conundrum on the “chasing”. How do you let them out of pen and have their free run time, if they don’t return to the pen on their own? Or they…[Read more]

I’ve only taught him a few things, but he can spin in a circle when I wave my finger in small circle, he recognizes the cue. He does it much faster with a treat, but he learned to do it only with the cue. I’ve also been teaching him to run into his pen when I have to leave, so if a stand by the xpen door with his pellets bag, he runs right in. He…[Read more]

Wow! Ok, thank you guys. For some reason I always thought that neutering and spaying once they’re older than around4-6 months was dangerous. Good to know!!

@Hazel YAY for Oscar pics! 😀 Those pictures on the naner expressions were hilarious! 😆 Oh Oscar, you rabbit!
@Louiethebunny, Of course, Louie likes to ride in his bunny taxi! He’s just being difficult so you will give him treats. 😆
