Hi, thank you for responding. This is my first bunny so I tend to overreact and not make the best choices. I have done a bunch of research after and before I got him and he hasn’t had a problem like this since I got him last December. I was scared that the reply was going to tell me something scary, but thanks for bringing up the bonding. T…[Read more]

that’s good there has been an improvement with the urinating!
Bonds do get upset for reasons unknown from time to time. If all medical concerns are ruled out then I think it would be safe to work on repairing their bond by doing some sessions in neutral territory to see how she behaves then.

First, you cannot attempt to bond rabbits until all are spayed and neutered and please note that not all rabbits are compatible with one another, even after weeks to months of attempted bonding– keep this in mind before going from 1 to 3 rabbits, as you may end up w/ housing 3 rabbits separately forever.
To encourage hay consumption, cut down or…[Read more]

I know people will tell me it’s gi stasis and to go to the vet, I am 17 and I don’t have enough money to take him to the vet right now. He is getting neutered in December so hopefully they will see what is up with him then, also I have checked around other vets and their exotic vet doctors are all booked up so I couldn’t even if I wanted or neede…[Read more]

I briefly brought it up with my vet over the phone and moved Winnie’s appointment to next week, so i’ll hopefully see what’s going on with her very soon. It’s been so stressful getting her tested (urine, blood) and the results coming back normal! Especially when you know your bun and you know they’re 100% not themselves. On another note this is…[Read more]

Many buns have passed through here. That’s life. But one little guy just passed a couple days ago after a long hard battle. There is so much I’m grateful for (incl the suggestions here for the yummiest foods) but his ending was not kind. They will try to find out what happened but that’s not really an issue for me. I just can’t get his last…[Read more]

We all love cute rabbit toys. LOL
I agree. There is quite the selection of quality pellets out there that all do a good job of meeting a rabbit’s nutritional needs. In fact, there are even comparison charts out there that can help you choose a pellet within your market that best fits the recommended nutritional values. Additives are not…[Read more]

Due to the central status and sensitivity of rabbit GI systems in overall health, supplements are not recommended unless medically recommended, in which case there exists options already. Unlike dogs and cats, things encouraging “calmness” would not be related to diet– rabbit GI transit works on a very quick clock.
My opinion is the current…[Read more]

Great thoughts on the subject matter.
Let me look at it with two different angles then. We can look at the scientific aspect and the playful angle.
To keep it as simple as possible, they have manufactured organic addicitives that with small amounts, such as one gram spread out through 1 kg of food, can provide your dog with the added nutrients…[Read more]

Well honestly, no pet food will make any pet grow hair faster etc unless the pet used to be on a type of food that didnt provide enough nutrients for adequate hair growth.
The same goes for humans, really. If you have a dietary induced vitamin B deficiency, you’ll benefit greatly from food enriched with vitamin B. Otherwise not. And so on.
Some…[Read more]

Hello everyone,
I think this is the best plac to ask, a group of people who clearly think in a similar way and have the same passion for animals
What I have realized is the dog and cat food industry provide so many options in their foods. Foods can make your animal calmer, softer, grow their hair faster. Where are these options for our pet…[Read more]
