    What a sweet heart. 🙂

I can’t tell, is he all white or does he have some light colored rhinelander type markings?

It’s rough but she should stay on cage rest 10-14 days. Is the vet having you check her incision as well? Most buns don’t need the cones so hopefully she will be fine without it.

You can give her lots of extra boredom buster toys and pets in the mean time. It is so hard to see them cooped up but spaying especially is so invasive and they can…[Read more]

Thanks for your responses! She’s actually being pretty active and very very curious! It was just the first few minutes that scared her the most, I think.

I agree that it’s best not to move her and to let her explore her new home on her own.   It can take a while for some bunnies to feel confident when in a  new place.  As long as she is eating, drinking, pooping and grooming, let her go at her own pace.

I think it is probably best to leave her where she is right now, for she might feel safer there. And it is a great sign that she is drinking, nibbling, and grooming! She’ll get used to you in her time, but all good and memorable bonds take time. 🙂

Both a spay and neuter are functionally the same (i.e. stop the ability to reproduce), but operation-wise, they are not the same. Neuters are much more straight-forward and much less invasive than a spay, so it’s not surprising that Clide is feeling better sooner.

The main factors I’d keep in mind are: monitoring the rabbit him/herself irritating…[Read more]

Well, Panini is finally home! We immediately put her in her new enclosure. (:

Howeveer, she’s sat in the corner and not really wanting to go exploring yet. I know that’s normal! But should I move her into the inner part of her enclosure (where its dark and she’d likely feel safer) or let her do it on her own? I want to minimize stress, but I know…[Read more]

This is Pinky after I pet him a few minutes ago. He looks so cute! I had just fed the bunnies and spread the veggies and pellets around the pens so they could search for them. I think they found them all except for the pellets in the hay racks. They are happy after they eat lol. Maybe today will be better?

I would definitely watch, her. Snickerdoodle would have choking episodes and it baffled the vets for a long time. It turns out Snickerdoodle has laryngeal paralysis (confirmed by endoscopy). Apparently he is not the only one the vet told me they have had at least one other rabbit come in with the same problem. As long as it is a one off, I would…[Read more]

I would personally wait 10 days, for that is how long it takes them to heal, but that could just be me being an overprotective bun mom. 😉 One thing I would keep an eye on though, is if they are picking on their incision. Mine girls did, and I, unfortunately, had to put the pet cones (collar of shame) on them. You said though that someone is…[Read more]

    Life Lessons According to Moink

    Lessons in Friendship,Part 1:  Trust

All potential friends are just enemies who haven’t revealed themselves yet. Always remember that.
Here is the steps to developing trust:

    Step 1:

Never trust anyone, ever at any moment, of your whole life until you die.

This is it. This the only step.
