I just did a new post with an update of my current furries!  Hahaha. I believe the last addition I had on here was Zoe, my black Lion Lop.  It’s going to be REALLY hard to refer to JackRabbit as JackRabbit since I call her MC now 😆

Tucker was one of those heart bunnies that will always hold a very special place in my heart – his name s…[Read more]

I wonder if you could try to get a slightly older rabbit, one that’s over 1 maybe? Then its personality should be better established and easier to know how it’s going to be.

I just adopted two bunnies like two weeks ago. Pinky is a year old, Muffin is 5 years old. They are both sweet, Muffin is a little more chill, still curious and explorative. He’s never nipped me or bitten me. Pinky has bitten me twice and nipped a few times lol. Could just be the personalities, or just that young animals are a little crazier. P…[Read more]

If your bun doesn’t like Oxbow, try Rabbit Hole, KMS, Standlee Premium (not the compressed bales).  A lot of people swear by Small Pet Select but I’ve never had much luck with their hay.

Looks like a mix of grasses plus clover to me.  Clover is high in calcium so you don’t want bun having too much especially on a regular basis.

If you were to go to a shelter where they have neutered rabbits, you would not be allowed to adopt one?

Bottom line, there are many people who choose not to neuter a male rabbit for one reason or another. I think what everyone here is saying is that you cannot predict behavior. I have a Holland and there was definitely territorial peeing and…[Read more]

I would wait another week, you usually want to wait 4-6 weeks post op before bonding, but some prebonding soon should be fine.

Agree with Hazel, if she is who has stolen your heart, then it sounds like you would have a good companion. 🙂 I don’t have any advice to give on tumors, so I will leave that to the more experienced members to help you with. My girls are all 1, for I got them as babies from a friend, but when I met them and spent some time with them, I knew they…[Read more]

He could be bored with it. Or it could be not very tasty lettuce. I know sometimes lettuce can be bitter. Try giving him some parsley since he’s had that before and see if he eats that with no issue.

Hey guys I had just posted about a week ago (template is on that post). Our new bun has been with us a week and settling in great! I even got a couch snuggle lol he hasn’t been great with the litter box and I noticed before my girls hormones settled down she wasn’t great either. I was going to start pre bonding this week but im wondering if I sho…[Read more]

I was actually considering an older rabbit, but Louie just stole our hearts, (we got him at 5 months) and for our second we tried to find a bun similar in age. Adult rabbits are also typically more mellow and like to laze around while young rabbits are crazy and love to run around, so it may also suit your lifestyle more! If you really like I…[Read more]

My bunnies and I share a room in my house, it’s actually a finished daylight basement so it is pretty separate from the house, so there’s never any smell anywhere else in the house. There usually isn’t a smell in my room either, unless its litter changing day, so I just pop open the window. My Louie had smelly pee for a week-ish, but it turned out…[Read more]

Okra is listed on the veggie list: https://binkybunny.com/bunnyinfo/veggie-list/   as a veggie tolerated by most adult buns.

They pee a lot. Pee smell I find can range, depending on how territorial the rabbit is. I also mention this because pee on hay and pee on poop (especially if the poop is pungent due to the territorial “onion” oil coating) also produces smell. My neutered rabbit Wick doesn’t have smelly urine. My spayed rabbit Fable does have smelly urine. How much…[Read more]

That is always a good question to consider before a bunny. 😉

“How often do they pee?”  *dry laugh* oh, they pee quite frequently, but they don’t smell that much. In the room I have their x-pens in, you can sort of smell the pee, but it’s not like it hits you in the face like “Oh *gag* yup *cough* she peed…again!” Standing in the room now, I…[Read more]

A little bit of clover is fine. My bun loves the flowers 🙂 A bit of a “treat”, like clover, mixed in with the hay can make a bun more interested in eating hay. So yes, this looks like good hay for an adult bun.

Oh yes females are at least as territorial and moody as males, if not moreso.
