I’ll give the breed answer after a few more guesses, lol my main head scratcher is her color. I might send in for a DNA test for sure but I love reading all of you guy’s thoughts on what in earth her color could be..
I originally thought it was brindle too, but as I said, her markings are an exact replica of her mom, only like a photo negative

I thought about the molting thing, as well, she is 3 months old and 8.5 lbs. As for the molting theory, she has been like this as long as her fur had grown out, it’s a very clear and distinct pattern. It has gotten brighter orangey red over time, I’m not sure if it’s due to sun bleaching due to the time she spends outside in the yard, but the…[Read more]

Hi guys! I’m new to being a member of this forum. I joined because my sweet Achilles I think has been a little more territorial lately. He is a 3 year old Netherlands dwarf, but he is actually incredibly sweet despite the breed being a little more nippy. He has never bitten anyone ever, litter box trained, super cuddly and sweet. He lives in a h…[Read more]

so in cats and dogs it’s called a brindle pattern for her fur, and google seems to think that works for bunnies too. Looks like Japanese Harlequins are brindle. Anyway, I am not good at this guess the breed thing, so probably wrong!

I think it would be OK (and prob necessary) to separate her during training time. You could just use an x-pen in the same room, so she is still in sight of Lola. You might want to do some basic commands with Lola too, just so she isn’t left out. 🙂 You could use a dif sound for each bun so they don’t get too confused. 🙂
For harder food puzzles,…[Read more]

Hmmm yeah some buns are sensitive to greens. It might be just one particular type, or could just be him adjusting to it.

She is so cute!
Her ears look like she has lop in her? I think that lop ears drop around 6-12 weeks, so maybe her ears will drop even more? Or she might end up with helicopter ears 🙂
How big is she?
I’ve seen buns where their coat looks molted like that before or during a molt, or as they age and their coat changes color slightly. I’m guessing…[Read more]

Another hurricane is brewing, I’ll need to board up the rabbits doggy door so they aren’t running around outside in floodwaters.

I agree with hazel that it probably wasn’t a good idea to teach him that 😆. What I would do is put something in front of the gate like his hidey house, one of those bendy log houses, or his litter box depending on where he rattles it. You could try a piece of cardboard too. Or maybe cover the gate with a blanket or towel you don’t care about, and…[Read more]

Mine leaves pee in random areas. He is neutered. He has two HUGE litter pans which he decorates every day. Yet he likes to leave special pee spots in other places that must mean something to him. I haven’t figured out what it means. If anything.
