Hi guys! I’m new to being a member of this forum. I joined because my sweet Achilles I think has been a little more territorial lately. He is a 3 year old Netherlands dwarf, but he is actually incredibly sweet despite the breed being a little more nippy. He has never bitten anyone ever, litter box trained, super cuddly and sweet. He lives in a house of entirely women, besides my dad who he LOVES.

Recently I moved out of my parents house and in with some roommates. I took Achilles with and he’s been absolutely great with the move and I think he enjoys the attention all my roommates give. I had a tinder date over in my room twice now. Anytime Achilles is on my bed after my date has been sitting on my bed he pees. He does not do that with my dad or any of my friends that are girls. I think maybe introducing a new guy into the picture might have him acting a little territorial?

The two of them have met and Achilles really loves him and he will sit on his lap, so there is no aggression at all, but whenever he leaves and Achilles is in my bed he pees. I am wondering if I should have my date sit on a blanket on my bed so as to not get his scent on my bed. Achilles doesn’t seem stressed when he smells it and he really loves people. I just wonder if I should maybe wash my sheets or something every time my new interest is over? I don’t think it’s a health concern but I really hate having to keep washing my comforter.

I don’t think it’s a health issue, I think Achilles is is just asserting his ownership of you. This is a bunny compliment, but it’s not really how we humans are used to  perceive peeing 🤪 If your tinder date is ok with sitting on a blanket, it could probably save you some work.

Well, another man has come into his lady’s picture, of course, he’s not happy… 😛

Agree with Bam, they have interesting ways of showing that they love us. 😆
