Update:
Mochi was diagnosed with a heart valve deformation, arrhythmia, and murmur. The vet believes her symptoms are from heart failure. She also had crystals in her urine, we were given meds to keep her happy and comfortable until it’s her time to go.

Kaitlyn replied to the topic Peeing on everything, at my wits end in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 11 months ago
Our daily routine:
6am: he gets half a handful of nuggets and is “let loose” on the herb garden for 10 minutes or so
Then 7am: he is in our bedroom until my family get up etc, then he is allowed downstairs with the dogs and family.
He is outside with the dogs whenever my family let the dogs outside. He eats plenty of hay and grass everyday. He…[Read more]

It would be helpful to know the “daily routine” and how you and potentially others interact with him day to day. So many rabbit behaviors that owners find unpleasant can be very contextual and shaped by the environment.

Hey! I have been searching for advice for the past 9 months, I have contacted people on social media, the vets, friends etc. But I have recently found this forum and i am searching for advice.
I am at my wits end, and it is driving me insane.

Bladesmith replied to the topic Rabbit Seizures in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 11 months ago
We’re literally guessing. There’s SO many possible causes, most of whom involve very expensive testing that I can’t afford. (Seriously, fully anesthetized MRI?) But the treatments all run in the same direction.
And prior to the start of the seizures, the ONLY thing that changed in her daily life was my daughter brought her kitty with her. No…[Read more]

Starlightbunny replied to the topic Will he be picky forever? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 11 months ago
I feel your frustration, some daysvI tell myself ” I have the world’s most picky and spoiled lionhead rabbit” I had to try different brands and cuttings to get it right. Of course then after she got spayed I had to start all over again. Starlights current favorites are APD timithy gold and feedtastic hay and bb oat hay, but who knows….maybe in 6…[Read more]

I was wondering if anyone here dresses their bunnies up for halloween. I though about dressing Starlight up as a shark since she likes to run around and bite and chomp things/people. Lol.

In the UK I order it from a rabbit online pet shop. But I’m not sure in Canada. Here they sell bulk kg bags in equine stores for horses so that would be another option to try.

@HipHopBunny It is a nightmare trying to get pictures with my ancient phone. I am awaiting my new DSLR to arrive for better pictures.
@Hazel Miss is terrified of him. I don’t think she has ever seen an animal smaller than her that hasn’t tried to attack her *ahem* my hedgehog likes to chase her. She is super small. I thought she was just a tiny…[Read more]

Oh really, that’s amazing! I definitely would have never thought about getting them directly from a farm or farmers market so I will look into that as well! We do have Whole Foods here so maybe that would have it 🙂 I do feel bad when Snowball is only eating hay and only a tiny portion of pellets, so I do want to get him something else safe to…[Read more]

Update- they have done several 8 hour sessions. I decided to try them in the area they will be living. Went great for about 3 hours then the boy was face humping my female. I separated them, let them settled and then ended it after petting both for a few minutes. Before that there was cuddling, sharing of toys, water, and their litter box. Should…[Read more]

Hello! i got my bunny Fria a little under a month ago and she adjusted well to her new environment. a few days after i got her i started using a blanket to cover ONLY the front of her cage (so she doesn’t see me walk around) at night. right after she started exclusively peeing on that blanket. That’s great!
I end up foraging for a lot of mine in spring time. I think plantain is pretty easy to grow (it’s a crazy weed!), but I haven’t had luck growing dandelions myself oddly.
I mostly get my dandelions direct from a farm where we get a CSA (community supported agriculture) box. So maybe check out farmers markets and if there are CSA’s…[Read more]
