        Hi guys!

        Ive had my bun for a week now, and I’ve been putting off vacuuming as to not stress her out. The hay situation in my room has become quite bad, and my mom is getting a little annoyed. Is it too soon to vacuum or am I okay to go? If it’s fine how should I go about it? Her pen is open all day so I was figuring I’d vacuum around dinner time (8:00 ish) so she’d be in her pen while I do it. What do you guys think?

          I think it’s ok. You’ll see if she freaks when you turn the vacuum on. If so, you can turn it off and relocate her to another room for the duration?

          If she was a shelter bun she must have become rather used to all kinds of noises. Not all buns are scared of the vacuum. My bun always comes to investigate when I vacuum.

            Be careful cause hay can clog up the vacuum quick lol! You could try sweeping but I don’t know how well that would work on carpet.

              @Bam

              Okay thanks! I haven’t done it yet but I think I will tonight.

              Hehe. I know. I’m going to be picking up any of the huge pieces and vacuuming the smaller ones. I’m using our old vacuum- so no one will miss it if it breaks 😛

                I recently got a rubber broom to sweep up hay before vacuuming and oh boy is it a game changer. Normally I would need to spend forever either hand picking up hay first, or unclog the vacuum several times. Now I just sweep up most of the hay first with the broom and it saves so much time. Also easier to tidy up in between vacuuming.

                  That’s a good idea! Where do I find a rubber broom? Also, when i vacuum I put starlight in the other room until I’m done.

                    I got mine online. If you search “rubber broom” you will find lots of options.
