If it had pesticides, no. Pesticide free lawn grass, however, is safe I believe.

Oh she looks so sweet in that picture! I wouldn’t worry because I had that exact same thing a month or so ago when Tybalt was going through his first big molt, the side view of him was so funny because of the dips and curves on his small face but it’s all gone now πŸ™‚

    Happy Spooky Season all! πŸ˜›

England is freeeeezing, I haven’t seen anything but rain in over a week so summer is truly truly over! I love autumn but I’m not a fan of the sad looking mornings, makes it so hard to get out of bed for work πŸ™

On the plus side I think I’ve had a real breakthrough with Tybalt! Somehow, being away from him every…[Read more]

    Hi Everybody

when i get rabbits (which will hopefully be next year!! fingers crossed) i will probably be allowed to free roam them in a room. And i want to hide their litter box. I want to make a dog style litter box house. i want to have a ramp that goes onto the roof of it with trays of grass so my question is “can i give my rabbit grass that…[Read more]

Joey absolutely loves tummy rubs. If I want to clip her nails I give her belly rubs the whole time so she just sits there instead of squirming.

I was kind of at a loss about the poopy butt. I read someone else’s bunny had been experiencing poopy butt due to the high protein content in orchard grass hay. After reading I decided I would switch him to straight timothy hay. This seemed to improve the poopy butt quite a bit. He get’s a bit on him here and there now, but not anywhere near as…[Read more]

@HipHopBunny it’s kind of wedged by that black frame (it’s actually an aquarium stand that she likes hanging out under)

Don’t stress about the nose nip, these things happen to be best of us. (See my post about “Nose guards” in the habitat section to see my most recent exciting discovery LOL).

For during the actual sessions, I would recommend getting a pair of thick leather gloves. A dustpan can work (or some people will put tennis shoes on their hands), but…[Read more]

I agree with more pre-bonding! I would do full-on side swaps (leave the litterboxes a little dirty) for a few more weeks.

For your sessions when you resume, chose an area that is brand new and somewhat stressful if you can. Hopefully the additional pre-bonding will help a lot!

    Woof, I feel your pain!

I think the two things that could help are some different types of stress (some car rides for example), a change of scenery (a new bonding location if possible), and longer sessions if you can bear it. I can’t recall how long your sessions have been, but sometimes it seems like after a certain amount of hours the rabbits…[Read more]

How long ago have you been working with them? And how long ago was the female spayed? I completely agree with Wick, but if you could fill out the “Bonding template” and paste it in your reply it would help us get an even better picture of what’s going on.

I ask because some humping is normal in the bonding process, so if you only just started…[Read more]

Do you have ideas on the causes of the dirty butt? A normal rabbit shouldn’t need regular butt washes but it sounds like it might be something you’re doing regularly, as recommended by the vet?

Do you notice anything around his face, whether it is his cheeks or eyes? An inflamed looking nose is also a sign.

Yeah I was originally thinking some kind of fungal/yeast infection I wasn’t sure because of the testes though was quite odd. Unfortunately the images won’t zoom in to full size on here, upon closer look though there is some white looking stuff and ulceration appearance almost. Not quite crusty but it has been oozing… I’m hoping they look into it…[Read more]

I can’t wait until she decides she likes to be pet! Right now I think she’s starting to like me, but mostly as the person who brings her food 😆
