Progress! You can serve his greens freshly rinsed and dripping wet to get more water in him – if he gets greens. You can add a few drops of unsweetened applejuice to his water to entice him to drink more- but serve plain water too in another bowl, because some rabbits refuse water that tastes “funny”.

Awww I love the top pic with Baylor eating!
And Dorian sleeping with his little elephant!
Tybalts fur is so pretty, I love the colorsHere is another of Bernard. It’s kind of cut off so I don’t know if you guys can see but she loves putting her feet under the pink peep toy. I guess it keeps her little toes toasty 😆 And ignore her tattered rug…[Read more]

You should avoid pine shavings (and cedar), but aspen shavings/chips are commonly used and safe. Pine pellets are also safe because the pelleting process removes the aromatic compounds in pine that cause issues. I use pine pellets sold as horse stall bedding, they are really affordable ($9 for 40 lb) and work great.
Hay blocks would be better…[Read more]

Hi everyone! I’m going down to the feed store tomorrow and Bernard is almost out of litter. I’ve seen they have wood chips for pretty cheap and I’ve heard people say it works for litter boxes. Has anyone used it before? Also, are there any woods that they can’t have? On other websites I thought I seen some say pine is good and some say it’s ba…[Read more]

It’s definitely something to look into. All an x-ray will do though if give you confirmation. There isn’t a whole lot that can be done for tooth root problems. It’s mostly just supportive care. Unfortunately, I have experience with this. After awhile, you begin to recognize the difference between “normal” stuffiness and “active infection”…[Read more]

Thanks Dana. I keep thinking of all these “signs” that maybe I missed but maybe Snowball was in pain and I just didn’t see it. The vet tech gave me an update and said Snowball gave one poop in the 24 hours he has been there, so I’m praying that he will pull out of this. I feel even worse knowing he’s in the shelter alone, and all because of st…[Read more]

Ok, thanks for all the responses! It helps a lot. ^_^
That stroller does sound adorable, I’m currently attempting to harness train my buns so I can take them for walks and I have a cat backpack I bought for my bf’s cats who have no interest in it so I’m going to try and see if my girls like it, haha! (Instead of a stroller)

HipHopBunny I think it’s been a few days that he’s been having some sneezing fits. Sneezes everyday from both bunnies. I haven’t heard a sneezing fit today, though. Which is good.
The email I got from the vet says it could be from allergies and dust. They said to keep the area clean. But not sure what to do about the hay dust. They said if they…[Read more]

Baylor can now a eat a whole leaf of romaine and is now going to try some kale. My question is if Baylor can eat one whole leaf of romaine every morning currently, then can I give him a whole leaf at night without starting small and increasing the amount every 3 days?

Baylor is so cute! That picture of him not being impressed with the fall foliage is hilarious. It really makes me feel like we need a caption contest thread. 😀
Dorian and Tybalt are looking devastatingly handsome as always. 😉

I’m not sure why the first vet used Convenia, but I’m guessing it may have been because she wanted to give him something other than an oral antibiotic, and that was the one she had available that she has used on rabbits before. On this initial visit, he was only diagnosed with an ear infection and a skin infection from where he went to the…[Read more]
