@prince Dorian the bun – yes that is my skippy in the pic! He is so loving, he’s started climbing all over me and licking/nibbling at me. I think it’s affection? Lol he’s been fun! Yes I actually feed him Timothy hay now, just his pellets (which he loves) are alfalfa-based.

I bought a powerful handheld vacuum when I moved in specifically because I wanted it to be really quick and easy to clean up after them. I think his issue is he just finds it gross to see the poop and he’s practically scared of stepping on it. I love that he’s a bit of a neat-freak in general, but it’s a bit frustrating in this context.

Don’t worry about his energy levels, Tybalt was the exact same! He used to run and smack parts of his bodies into my furniture which worried me too and when it made a loud sound he would pause abruptly and look at me as if I was the one making the racket?! He should calm down as he gets older 🙂

Not sure what your flooring is, but maybe a rubber broom (or regular broom if you have hard flooring) would make it less of an issue?

Then rather than having to pick them up by hand or vacuum, he or you could easily just sweep them over towards their box so he wouldn’t have to step on them.

Yep, they’re totally free range in the bedroom at the moment. They always have been since I first rescued them. Right now at nighttime I’ve been using their playpen to restrict them to under the bed as well as stretching space near my side of the closet.
