Bun Jovi is such a tease! 😆

Could be that but my guess is just where he was when the cecals were ready. When my girl eats her cecals she just eats them wherever she is when she gets the signal that they’re ready

Hey, Buddy is doing great at pooping in his litter box now but he is still doing small amounts of cecals out side of his litter box. It seems kinda strange. I have seen some cecals in the litter box. Today I again took him to vet for check up , he was doing good from last 5 days . Vet checked him up and told that there is some deficiency  in his food . I informed him what all we are feeding him , then he said to feed him some grains ( GRAINS ?? 🙄)

He prescribed to give vitamin B complex syrup for another 10 days .

I don’t think the no touch method works and probably prolongs the stress. My rabbit has never once got in his carry case by choice regardless of what food I put in there. I only pick my rabbit up when I have to, and that’s carry case or nail trimming but to do the carry case I pop it on a table/sofa with the door open And nothing in front of it…[Read more]

Oh that sounds so nice! I think you’re right, you hit the jackpot. Bunnies like yours probably explain toilet-training guides that only have two steps 1) buy litter box , 2) put hay in it. As someone who has messy rabbits I find those guides so frustrating haha. I’m very happy for you though! Hope you’re enjoying getting to know your new bun 😀

I think the white one might be albino it’s eyes turn a bright pink ruby color especially in sun light.

Rabbits will ingest some hair when they clean themselves, and since they cant vomit, the hair has to go out the other way. This is normal and won’t cause trouble in a healthy rabbit, if there is sufficient fiber in the diet. It is very good to brush (and lint roll) your bun, but its not possible to catch all hairs.

I assumed they were in some kind of temporary enclosure in the photos since you either hadn’t brought them home yet or you had just brought them home.

A bunch of the poops have little pieces of fur in them. Haven’t gotten the “string of pearls” yet though lol. I brush him but I guess he still ingests some fur but I figure it’s good that he’s pooping it out

Kiln-dried is fine. Pine wood isn’t toxic per say. It’s the phenols that are released into the air when “fresh” wood is shaved, etc. Long term exposure of pine shavings, for example, is harmful. Kiln-dried pine pellet litter, on the other hand, isn’t harmful.

It isn’t unusual for rex bunnies to have wear on their hocks. The fur will thin there and callouses will eventually develop. As long as they are just callouses and not open sores, then I wouldn’t be too worried. You can put some bag balm or similar on it if you think it’s irritated.
