Hi!
My bunny jack loves to jump on my bed, which was fine until he started to pee on it. I could keep him off during the day but at night since he is free roam he would hop up to sleep with me and would also mark his territory. I had to wash my sheets every day for a week. I tried to make a kind of blockade thing with a sheet and some chairs to…[Read more]

Thank you so much @HipHopBunny and @DanaNM !
With stressing, some of the stuff I’ve seen people suggesting seem weird to me. I get using the vacuum and car rides, those, are things they need to get used to anyways, but shaking them around and stuff seems mean :(.
I’ll check out the link, thanks!

Sounds to me like they weren’t fully bonded, which can happen when you have young rabbits together. Humping is used to show dominance, so it sounds to me like they’re trying to sort out who’s boss. I’d say restart the bonding process from the beginning.
Face humping can be quite dangerous, as the bottom bun could have trouble breathing, or coul…[Read more]

Cornstarch is pure starch made from corn. Potato starch will work equally well. It is a fine white powder that is used as a thickener in food. We call it potato flour here.
Normally buns shouldn’t have salt licks because they don’t need them. A too high intake of salt causes poisoning in rabbits as well as in humans and dogs. I would only let her…[Read more]

Would that be what we call cornflour ? Oh she’s just…[Read more]

Hello all,
I have two 8 month old holland lop buns, both female. They were both spayed on the same day at the end of July. A few weeks before the spay, Rae started humping Stella. She would hump her from behind and from the front, which I know is bad. Stella was not a fan and would then chase Rae around and that was really it. They were spayed…[Read more]

OOooh that one looks amazing! It looks like they used little shelving brackets to support the plywood and attach it to the cube walls?
My upper condo levels are plywood with vinyl tiles (and fleece clamped on top with binder clips). I use wooden dowels to support them.

My condo is pretty ugly by pintrest standards but the bunnies like it. 🙂

Awww that looks to be going so positively!
It is possible Fresno could be the peace keeper in a trio… but if the girls hate each other it might be better to find her a different mate. Maybe try Fresno with her and see how they are? If she hates him then that’s an easy decision?
I’m struggling with my own trio currently so I don’t have too many…[Read more]

Oh, that’s too bad. 🙁 She still has you though, so she isn’t alone! 😉
Fresno and Nora sound like a very promising match, so I’ve got my money on you having an easy bond! 😉 Maybe after their bond is solid, and has been established for a couple of months or so, you could try a bonding session again?
Have you heard of the stunt double? It is…[Read more]

Funny you should ask this… I’ve written a blog post for Binky Bunny on this topic, but it hasn’t come out yet!
The gist is that different things work for different rabbits, and different humans! People with more or less experience might do better with certain techniques.
I think most people will try a small space first, because it’s readily…[Read more]

4-6 months is typical for spaying, so I would not want to wait until 1 year… especially since she is being so hormonal.
Hopefully adding boxes helps!

I would stop the pineapple juice. The sugar could be upsetting her stomach and causing gas pain, and I seriously doubt that it is helping (aside from using it as a way to get her to drink more water). When the gut isn’t moving properly sugar can also upset the balance of bacteria even more. I wonder if the squashed poops were excess cecals which…[Read more]

Aren’t they though?!
And I should mention that Nora and Quincy have been living next to each other but separately for 2 years, and I’ve tried bonding them a few times to no avail because Quin is such a little tyrant. Sometimes I wonder if she’d be happier as an only bun with someone else… but I really don’t want to rehome her as I’ve had her f…[Read more]

Aww, they look so happy together! 😀
For Quincy, I would definitely introduce them separately, so that there isn’t any ganging up, and so she isn’t overwhelmed with meeting two buns at once. 🙂 That could encourage her to then start attacking out of fear, and shock to two newcomers. Trying them all out in groups of two in a bath tub or some…[Read more]

I really prefer bonding in a small space, unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to work with my ladies, but when I do, small spaces always help. 😀 For when I’m bonding in large spaces, that gives Silver more room to chase Smokey. 🙁 It all really depends on the buns, if either is a chaser, I’d definitely start small! 😉
When I stress bond, I…[Read more]

Hi all, since I’m anticipating moving Fresno into Nora’s condo soon, I’m wanting to add some levels but I don’t know what to use as the flooring or how to secure it so that it doesn’t slide around. I always see great picture ideas, especially on Pinterest, but nobody on there ever explains how they make the levels. For instance, this one looks…[Read more]
