I believe 300,000 iu/mL has to do with the concentration of the penicillin. It is not a dose. Dosage is determined by your rabbit’s weight.

Just to clarify: 300 00u/ml per day for 25 days.

No idea, but I will specify that I did injections daily, not weekly. So it was 25 shots in 25 days.

She still has symptoms so the vet’s going off that rather than blood panel. She is receiving pen g at 300 00u/ml once weekly. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your reply. Its been going on since August and I’m only sleeping 3 hours a night. I’m exhausted. Your help means the world to me.

She was in Ranitidine injections since her gut totally stopped. She’s off them now and she’s been pooing great. Eating like a horse sometimes.

She’s on subq fluids and pain relief Metacam and gabapentin.

Shes also given infacol but it doesn’t seem to help.

Shes been so dehydrated recently she didn’t stop sleeping. Almost sleeping the clock round.

Is there any electrolyte solution without sugar in that I can safely give her to help? For when the subqs run out?

What is the vet using? Pen G?

What treatments is she currently on? Is she back on motility meds? I wonder if a different medication and maybe a protectant (ranitidine) might be helpful?

My face is pretty much cleared up now. I will definitely look into eczema being a possible factor. I haven’t experienced/had eczema since I was in elementary and I never had an issue with it like my siblings do. But if it’s possible for it to come and go, I’ll definitely look into that.
