It is a good idea to give Benebac when a bun is on antibiotics, but it’s even more important to give it after the course of antibiotics is over, because that’s when the gut is trying to re-establish a healthy gut microbiota.

Dont give probiotics at the same time as the antibiotics, wait a few hours.

I also find that strange. I had to do nail trims at the vet for years and indeed she weighed and examined teeth and ears every single time but only charged me $20 per bun.

Your comment also made me wonder, does the bun have a box or something that be can actually hide in? Most cages and x pens are see through so if he doesn’t have something to hide in he would definitely appreciate getting something, even something simple like a cardboard box.

@pinkiemarie Ideally cecotropes if you can get em! The reasoning was if the bun already lived with other buns it would have already been exposed to any parasites they might have, so it’s pretty safe to try. @benjaminbinky I have a bun with terrible dysboisis, almost everything gives him icky poos. I feed him a timothy pellet by Exotic Nutrition with literally only timothy hay as the only ingredient. 2 of my rabbits also charge my cats. I think that’s pretty normal and most likely they do it because they can sense that the cat is a predator and they’re letting the cat know that they don’t want to be prey.
