Perhaps the alfalfa hay bits will be more attractive when you’re able to get some — as your vet mentioned, it is definitely known that some older rabbits or ill rabbits will transition to some alfalfa diet to help w/ weight.

If the skin is intact you dont need to clean them or put on ointment (unless of course if her feet are extremely dirty. Creams and ointments make the surrounding fur sticky and less protective, so they are best avoided as long as you’re only dealing with calluses, not actual sores. Have you asked regular pet grooming places? Some places can do / have experience with bunny nails even though they don’t advertise. Just make sure to check their prior experience first.
