I will say the fluid is no longer sticky which I think is a good sign but I am bringing her to the vet Saturday just in case 🙂

I agree with Dana. I wouldn’t be too worried, especially since he’s a bigger bunny. They just need some time to calm down and also for his hormones to settle.

How long have you had him? He may still be cautious about things in his new home. Sometimes bunnies are apprehensive about eating when in a new environment.

You could still say he’s a girl if you want. He won’t know the difference. LOL

Seriously though, nothing should change care-wise. And Toasty is pretty unisex, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

This looks more like a spinal deformity (birth defect). You see similar abnormalities in dogs.

It sounds like they mostly just scared each other but didn’t actually fight? To me that sounds like it’s not the end of the world. I would be more concerned if your cat had a very strong prey drive and had attacked him.

I think waiting till Hades is less territorial is a good move. This will also allow more time to sniff each other through the…[Read more]

@willowsanimalworld thank you for your reply!

I introduced my previous bunny successfully to a few cats. During her lifetime she was good friends with several dogs and several cats. So, it’s definitely a possibility to introduce them successfully.

Persephone (my previous bun) was smaller, but in this case it might be pertinent for me to add that…[Read more]

    Hi there,

If you are just starting out, there is lots of great info in the Bonding section under the “Bunny Info” tab at the top of the page. 🙂

I would not even try to introduce them after that, for one, its never a good idea to introduce a rabbit and a cat. Just make sure you close your door and you should be fine. hope this helps!

Rabbit urine can smell like onion or soy sauce, but a very strong odor might suggest that you have too little litter in the boxes or that you don’t have the best litter. I use wood stove pellets for my bun, because theyre cheap and highly absorbant and can be composted.

Rabbits are particular about where they pee. One method that might work is to…[Read more]

I would personally say if you haven’t bought the storage cubes yet, to buy ones with plastic on the inside, and wire lining it. If you have already bought them, then you should be fine as long as you clean the cage every other day and have a blanket/rug at the bottom of the enclosure.

    Hope this helped!

Its perfectly normal for your bunnies pee to smell sort of soy-sauce-y, it just means they could be a little bit dehydrated. How many water bowls do you have in their enclosure? To stop your rabbits from peeing in the corner I would recommend putting their litter box in that corner, they are trying to tell you they want their litter box to be…[Read more]
