I would not even try to introduce them after that, for one, its never a good idea to introduce a rabbit and a cat. Just make sure you close your door and you should be fine. hope this helps!

I would personally say if you haven’t bought the storage cubes yet, to buy ones with plastic on the inside, and wire lining it. If you have already bought them, then you should be fine as long as you clean the cage every other day and have a blanket/rug at the bottom of the enclosure.

I’m glad that there’s nothing too crucial about it, and, yeah, I initially had trouble trying to find a rabbit whose caretaker could assure confidently the sex of the rabbit, but now I understand!
