Hi, Wick. I don’t know how long it’s been since she’s eaten. I was out for a few hours, and when I came back I realized she wasn’t acting herself. She’s not cold, but she keeps tummy pressing on the ground. If I order the gas drops I’ll have to wait a few days for shipping, which might not be fast enough. Critical care could take a while to arrive…[Read more]

She can have gas and gas can coincide with GI stasis. Tummy pressing is a sign of gas.

Do you know how long it’s been since she  has eaten? If it has been more than 12 hours, you will need to go the vet.

If you’re able to, you can get infant gas drops that can help rabbits pass gas.

Is she cold at all? It’s important to keep her warm if shes…[Read more]

Please help me – I’ve just noticed that Binkie’s been acting odd. She won’t drink water, she won’t eat treats, and she keeps pressing her tummy against the ground, in an uncomfortable way. When she gets up, it looks like she’s really struggling. She hides underneath things, and she won’t come out no matter how much I try and coax her. I’ve just…[Read more]

Well make that a party for 3 because the 1st is also TimTims birthday! (Also estimated bd)

I think that’s a good idea to have Louie & Lola’s on the same day. 🙂

Ahh yes, December chat when it’s almost January :D. I cannot believe how quickly December flew by, it’s almost Louie’s (estimated) birthday, the shelter he came from guesses he was born on Jan 1-2 of 2020 meaning he’s almost one!!! Probably Lola’s too, we have no idea about her birthday but she’s supposedly similar age to Louie so we’ll celebrate both! 😛

Figured I’d start extremely late Dec chat thread to see out 2020. Plus my ocd not happy to let the month pass without one. 😬

Happy Holidays and Happy Christmas to all that celebrate it !

I’ve never heard of it, but if it’s a UK thing then that would explain why. Hmm… so no Amazon, ebay, etc?

I’m leaning towards that too. I actually didn’t know that rabbits had scent glands until now 😀 but that makes sense because he’s my most prolific territorial pooper too!

Its a veterinary disinfectant, but it’s used also for respiratory. Some people here on the forum use it in nebulizer for their bunnies who have URI. It’s also commonly used for reptiles with URI issues.

Dface uses it for her bunnies with nebulizer and she sent me a link to what she uses, but she’s in the UK. It seems to help from what those who h…[Read more]

Yeah, I’ve never thought they weren’t stinky. LOL  Perhaps Dana is on to something. It could be scent gland odor filling the room if he’s on a date when it happens.

    What’s F10? Sounds like a vehicle number.

It can sometimes affect things, but no hard in experimenting a bit, as you might hit on something that works really well. I ended up settling on the small space during sleepy hours with mine to encourage them to sleep near each other, but the bigger space later so they can get some exercise.

I’ve nearly always found with my rabbits that larger…[Read more]
