Okay thank you.
Going for 12 hours (fingers crossed) together today and then the over night.
I still don’t feel they have decided who is boss between them yet.

Hi Dana, we got him a couple of weeks ago. We usually give him food around 5:30 pm (the person who gave it to us suggested to give him unlimited hay and some pellets in the evening, quantity according to his weight). I’ve never tried feeding him outside where he usually eats so that could be an idea thanks!

Humping is part of the bonding process, so you should observe it but not stop it. If it turns to circling or chasing, then intervene. It sounds like they are doing very well, since you’ve also got grooming, cuddling etc. Even in bonded pairs some humping can be normal.
So try not to panic with the humping, and see what happens. If it’s no big…[Read more]

Keep them 100% separated until they are neutered/spayed. At their age she may already be pregnant (females can get pregnant at 12 weeks). You should take her to the vet ASAP to find out, as she might be able to be spayed now. 4.5 months is on the young side to be spayed but not too young for an experienced vet.

How long ago did you get him? It could be that he’s still adjusting to your schedule and his new environment. Do you give him salad in the evening? If so, maybe giving it to him a little earlier (mine tend to take a nap after salad, then get the zoomies about an hour later), and feeding it outside the cage so he comes out to get it might help.

Yes, 100% separate until they are both fixed. The mounting and aggression in return is a sign of bunny-hormones and since your rabbits are right around their “bunny puberty” stage you definitely want to separate, get them fixed, then re-bond them. I would also be cautious and pay attention to them as they are old enough to reproduce and if they…[Read more]

I have a male and a female rabbits (genders memtioned by store) raised together free roaming since they were a month old. They love each other and lick and sleep together on a daily basis. The boy is now 3.5 months old and the girl is 4.5. Yesterday, I found hairs of my male rabbits on the floor. I also witnessed he tried to hump the girl but she…[Read more]

So of course today Charlie was not sneezing or having discharge. She sounded clear in her breathing when at the vets. He said I was definitely right to make an appt based on the symptoms she had been displaying for days. We talked over some options or treatment. He really didn’t want to start antibiotics when everything was sounding so clear t…[Read more]

I thought lots of things were different between the northern and southern hemispheres. Why would race horses be any different? LOL

For things to offer – What about willow? I’ve had a lot of luck with offering dried willow leaves.

Hmm… I have not heard of trying to harden the skin. Most people say to moisturize the callus with an ointment or cream.

Nasal discharges can definitely vary. I would notice thick white-ish discharge, even when the vet said there was no active infection. This was tooth root issues though, not allergies. I don’t know about allergies, but as Wick said, it could be possible.
If it were me, I would try a prolonged antibiotic treatment again. If that doesn’t work, then…[Read more]
