Charlie is getting spayed tomorrow. I’m guessing this is hormonal, but wanted to see what some others may think.
Charlie finished her last dose of Orbax for URI yesterday. She is doing well and I did check with her vet to make sure it was still ok to get her spayed tomorrow.
This morning my husband told me when he gave her a treat before p…[Read more]

That sounds reasonable for a molt patch!

Caramel isnt exactly toxic to rabbits, but it could cause some tummy upset. Its basically made of various forms of sugar and fat. You may see some weird looking poop. Try to encourage him to eat hay, for example by hand feeding individual strands. Hydration is important too, if he gets fresh greens or herbs you can rinse them in water just before…[Read more]

Almost the size of a fun-size Hersey bar, not including the small spot on his head as well.

He’ll probably be fine. I would be more worried about the sugar overload than the small amount of milk chocolate.

I have a 7 month old Lionhead who weighs about 3 to 4 pounds. He was running around my room and I went downstairs for about 5 minutes and came back up and a piece of chocolate filled with caramel was sitting on my floor and it had teeth marks in the caramel so I know he was eating it even though I didn’t directly see it. It was in my trash so he…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Grooming plushie after drinking in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 7 months ago
It could simply be to groom the plushies either for some sort of claim/comfort or literally to groom. One of my rabbit will often come lick me after drinking water. He will actually hop away from being pet, drink, and then return to groom me.

No, but one of mine used to take a drink and then groom himself.

I think the cardboard trick will be fine. After awhile, he may lose interest and you won’t have to worry about it so much.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Minimum Time Between Flea Treatment? (For Anti-Parasitic) in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 7 months ago
I found something stating that your shouldn’t mix Revolution and Advantage Multi. No mention of Advantage II. It looks like Advantage Multi contains moxidectin, which is in the same class as selamectin. Advantage II does not contain this ingredient. As Dana said, they are different so they may be OK to give at the same time with no adverse effects.

Hi there, thanks for filling out the template!
Regarding the time between doses, since the two treatments are a different active ingredient, so that could explain why the vet didn’t think you needed to wait. That said, I’m not sure if there are any potential interactions between the two. Skin mites (especially in a mild case) are not an urgent…[Read more]
