It is a fun thread! My bun often jumps into my lap to energetically chin my hands and face, but he doesnt settle down for pets. For pets, he prefers to lie next to me on the sofa.

The most important features of a good feeding syringe is the size (diameter and lenght) of the tip.

Hi wmiller! This is a VERY old thread. We encourage people not to respond to old threads because it can cause confusion, especially if someone is looking for help. Since this thread is more “fun”, I’m going to leave it open for now. It’s great that your bunny willingly got into your lap. Most people aren’t so lucky. 😉

I joined some NY rabbit groups on Facebook and was able to meet other owners. They told me their vet recommendations and experiences. Maybe you could try that? Or you could try asking rabbit rescues in your area for recommendations.

I do have a helper, and will try these methods out! They seem a lot better than having to swaddle him and cause all that unneeded stress.

From what I understand, there are variations of the chinchilla color. These variations are influenced by other genes like the “wide band” gene, which makes the silver/white band in the chinchilla color about twice as wide.
