Yeah I agree that encouraging movement, more hay, and a tummy rub would be my go-to. If he isn’t turning down food I wouldn’t rush to the vet just yet.  If you offer a piece of hay does he take it from you and eat it?

Thank you! All of a sudden he started thumping for no apparent reason and I didn’t have any baby simethicone on hand so I got him some and he ate it on a thin slice of banana. I’m sure banana isn’t the best for him is he has a tummy ache but he’s hard to handle so I had to do what I could. Grrr fragile bunnies…

Sorry for the late reply but brought him in and they said everything is all good! Could just be a bit of an anxious little bunny but nothing to worry about. All his levels were fine

Okay! I was worried it would just never work but I guess it can! the lop is neutered and the mini rex was suppose to get spayed at the end of this month because I had to wait til she was old enough. But now I know he’s a boy I can move that up. Thank you!

I think monitoring and getting him to move around is a fine first step.

Opposite sex pairings are the most common, but that doesn’t mean same sex pairings are not possible. I would not rule it out just because of the sex. The behaviors you’re describing, like chasing, mounting and biting are actual common for any two rabbits when meeting, regardless of sex.

So it’s definitely kind of hard to sex a rabbit sometimes, and mistakea do happen. I have a bonded pair of makes who love each other but you do need to get them both neutered before you do real bonding if they aren’t already.
