Thanks jersey!
Hope you and your furbabies have been doing well 😊
Meant to ask before, is there a reason why my posts have to be approved before posting or is it standard procedure now?

Eyes look fine– both the shine and the white spot.

Yes she has that greyish spot. She has it in both eyes and has had it since the day I got her but it became a bit more noticeable as she grew older. The other eye is like almost half grey at the bottom. I believe it’s heterochromia? Nothing to worry about right?

Shiny eyes are not a problem, and if the’re no discharge/wetness around the eyes it’s not weepy eyes.
On the pics there seems to be a white-ish “shadow” next to the pupil. I can’t tell if its just reflexes in the pictures though.

I have had my bunny for almost one year now and since day 1 her eyes have looked very shiny. I just want to know if this is normal? Or is this considered a weepy eye? There is no discharge, no wet fur in the inner corners and no redness or inflammation either. She’s perfectly happy and her behaviour is also normal. I am a helicopter mom t…[Read more] -

Hi ThorBunny! Great to hear Thor is doing well 😊
It’s always frustrating when to hear of these situations.
I know if it were local to me, I’d obsess over their well-being.
Here’s hoping a rescue there has the capacity to take them if they can be trapped. At least it’s not the post Easter period when a lot of rabbits are re-homed.Have you tri…[Read more]

Hi ThorBunny! Nice to see you! I don’t personally know anyone in Seattle, but I do know that there are a lot of feral domestic rabbits in Washington State. You can probably reach out to local rescues to see if anything is being done to capture this particular pocket of bunnies. Trapping can be difficult. I think they will often set up a pen with…[Read more]

Hi all,
Long time no post! Does anyone have advice on, or if you are in the area, could help with a bunny rescue?? I was walking near my house today (near the SeaTac airport, Seattle WA) and found a group of domestic bunnies running free in a residential area. I don’t think they belong to anyone there, they are somewhat friendly but won’t let me…[Read more]

Thanks so much for the dosage LBJ, I couldn’t find that information anywhere 🙂
Looks like they were pretty spot on with that, just the panacur was way high.
Oscar is doing much better, seemed to be slightly better the day I took him to the vet already. It might not have been an infection at all but who knows.
Thanks so much for the help…[Read more]

thanks for you reply <3
The hair on the back of his neck was shaved at the vet to make it easier for me to give the Penn G injections at home, Apart from his ears, there seems to not be any thinning hair or anywhere else that is constantly irritating him.
The very first vet consultation she examined him, looked down into his ears and said it was…[Read more] -

That sounds like a good set up! Hopefully once she is spayed and hormones have settled they can have a fresh start.

It’s hard to fully tell from the photos, but ear mites usually start deep within the ear and spread outward. This looks more like it’s localized on the outside, which could actually be fur mites. I think you could start treatment now either way (the treatment is the same) and then have your vet assess when you see them in 3 days. The mites could…[Read more]
