Hello! This is my first bunny, I’ve had him for about a month now. He is very sweet and besides the occasional pull at his carpet he is very well behaved. He has a large dog play pen and is free range all day except for when I’m not home (with covid im only gone for a couple hours max). Although, today I rearranged my room to give him more floor…[Read more]

It does sound like something has caused an upset. The peeing on the bed could potentially be a pain response. Is she eating anything at all? I’m sure it’s probably late there, but are you able to try some simethicone and belly massages? If she doesn’t snap out of it after a few doses of simethicone, then you will need to do more “invasive”…[Read more]

About 5 minutes ago I went in to feed my rabbits, and I noticed that Smokey didn’t come running out like she always does. I checked on her, and saw that she has some extremely mushy poops coming out, and she was hunched in a corner. I don’t know if her tummy is bloated, or if she’s having some gas, but this isn’t like her. She even peed on the…[Read more]

Phone books and corrugated cardboard cat scratchers are big hits for bunnies that like to have deconstruction projects. Have you tried either of those?

I always say, if something isn’t working then try something else. It can’t hurt anything.

I have a parrotlet. Pips cage is not in the same room Charlie sleeps in, but it is in a common area of the house. What Pip tends to toss out of cage pellet and seed wise is not a large amount, but Charlie does want to eat it. I sweep often to prevent her from eating from the floor and possibly getting any tummy issues. Pip tends to eat mainly in…[Read more]

Charlie took her last dose of her 14 day course of Zeniquin today to treat Actinobacillus. Just a few hours after taking it she had a sneezing fit and blew out a big glob of thick yellow mucous. I had already planned to call vet tomorrow to see about extending the antibiotic as she was still having a bit of sneezing, but I hadn’t seen di…[Read more]

Also, the bunny bag has windows for the rabbit to look out of so they wouldn’t just be sitting in the dark.

Hello, I’m currently harness training my bunnies and I have some questions about what the best way to take them for walks would be.
I know you’re not supposed to separate bonded rabbits. I was thinking about how bad things could get if I had two rabbits out at once and they got spooked, though.
How long can bonded rabbits go without seeing eac…[Read more]

Update: They had one huge spat and now they’re fine! Only a few minor scrapes. CJ has now accepted her subordinate position. ^_^
Lucky for her, Lizzie loves giving grooming so the only thing CJ is missing out on is first dibs of things!

I’ve had my bun sunshine for about a month now. She’s a rescue and got her at 7 months. She’s going to be spayed soon the vet hasn’t called us back as the clinic had to cancel the original surgery date (emergency surgery on another animal). I’ve had many rabbits and know that spaying/neutering a rabbit can stop some aggressiv…[Read more] -

Thanks for the help! We have like a plastic one with the plastic buckles and a string. In addition, we’ve put a piece of legging on her to cover her stomach. She looks very funny, like a lampshade wearing a black dress and fur boots. She’s figured out how to eat with it on, but now she just takes everything off. We can’t get the cone to stay, it…[Read more]

I have 3 bunnies housed together in my spare bedroom. I also have a conure that is housed in a cage in my bedroom. Our bedroom is a bit cramped. My fiance suggested moving the bird cage into the bunny room but I’m hesitant. I haven’t heard issues of domestic birds passing any diseases or illnesses along to rabbits, but I wanted to know if any of…[Read more]

I doubt the matted cheek fur could be made soft enough to brush out. As a rule you have to cut out fur mats on rabbits. You can put a little bit of vaselin on the cheek to act as a barrier and protect the skin from the wetness.

Ok thank you for the information! I am gonna call a new vet tomorrow. Until then, the fur around her eye is super matted and almost a slight sticky texture. I’ve put a warm wet washcloth on it and tried to brush it but it did not soften it enough. Is there anything I can put there to soften it enough to brush it? I’m worried it’s going to start…[Read more]
