The double negative totally makes sense.. I used to pick her up rarely to get her back in the pen and that I stopped after she started acting aloof (fridge episode).
Using only the luring technique with some treats so she gets happy to be in her pen 🙂 She was getting back to almost normal last week and then the vaccine appointment came up…[Read more]

I will also mention that neutering a rabbit does not guarantee he will come to be a perfect litterbox rabbit. My male rabbit is still pretty bad at litterbox habits, as a part of his personality and how he expresses frustration… you may need to do some training, as it may not automatically happen nor may not; however, being neutered does…[Read more]

At this point, aside from vet assessment, all you can probably do is just monitor. While I know it is hard and easier said than done, but remember overwhelming yourself with stress and anxiety is not helpful for yourself or your rabbit at this time. I think raising awareness is really important, as I was not aware of this.

I’m sorry, this must be so stressful. 🙁 Don’t blame yourself, it could have happened to anyone. I don’t have any helpful info for you unfortunately, but I hope your bun will be fine. Please let us know what the vet says.

There’s no exotic doctors available in my state currently all I can do is leave a message for when they come back. I’m insanely worried and I’m shaking. I found out the human virus can be deadly to rabbits. I never knew this information! Out of all my years of owning rabbits no one has ever told me to not kiss my rabbit (on the head and nose)…[Read more]

Some see changes around 2 weeks post-neuter, but not everyone. In fact, I don’t think that is the norm. Sometimes it takes as long as 8 weeks, but I think 4-6 weeks post-neuter is standard.

I’m glad he finally started eating his broccoli!
My guess is that he had a temporary bout of gas, if his appetite returns to normal now and he produces poop and pee. Gas can be very painful for rabbits, and when rabbits are in pain, they as a rule show it first by refusing food. I recommend you get some simethicone baby gas drops to have on hand,…[Read more]

Here they are all snuggled up – what a pair of posers! They’ve given me a fair few sleepless nights lately but it’s all worth it when we see them curled up together like this ❤

Hi. My bunny Toasty loves his food, like any other rabbit. But this morning I noticed something was different.
Usually, when floorboards creak around our house, Toasty is slightly startled and will sit upright for a few seconds to investigate. But today, when I came downstairs, he didn’t even twitch an ear. He was lounging on his bed, eyes open…[Read more]

Hi Keara! We are happy to provide information and suggestions. On the plus side, the fact that there isn’t immediate aggression and they are able to eat side by side is a positive sign.
There is a Bonding template with questions that would be helpful for you to answer in a reply. It will give people more information!: https://binkybunny.com/forums…[Read more]

Hi everybunny,
My little bun was neutered 2 weeks and 4 days ago but still goes around leaving little poops (seemingly just falling out from his butt) and peeing in corners (recently before the neuter, he discovered he also could go in the center of the room too!!). He has a big, grated litter box that he goes almost perfect in when he is caged,…[Read more]

I am so sorry. I cannot describe the amount of love that I cherished for my baby. He was so precious to me. It’s been nearly two years since I lost him, and I’m still grieving over his loss. I still can’t look at any pictures of him without my heart shattering, so I can relate to you. Raven had an amazing life, and you gave her a wonderful home.…[Read more]

I’m glad you have a good and caring vet. It’s good that you could have a necropsy done, even if it didnt reveal any specific cause. Sadly, anesthesia always comes with a slight risk, both for animals and humans. Now you know there was nothing you or anyone else could’ve done to prevent this. I’m so sorry you lost her, it is very hard to lose a…[Read more]

Hi everyone!
I am attempting a bond for the first time, i’m about 6 weeks in and things are going relatively well considering my first buns temperament towards most people/animals!
Apple was my first, she is 1.5 and F, Cookie is my new addition, he’s about 9 months and M. (both fixed)
We are at a weird intermediate stage, and I am just won…[Read more]
