They dont actually know mate, they said between 1 and 18 months. You know what a stuffed toy is not a bad idea i will most certainly try that, i cant get the fucker off my arm after 5 minutes of binkying around the room. I mean hes probably living his best life but yano.

    Thanks for the tips mate.

I’m so sorry you lost Jenny. She sounds like a wonderful little rabbit 💗

It is extra horrible when things like this happens when we were trying to do our best to ensure the bun a long happy healthy life.

    Binky free, Jenny 💔

So, I totally understand your frustration, but I would urge you to be patient, as annoying as that is. Some buns take a very long time to decompress from the shelter environment. Even very good rescues can be very stressful, and all buns have different personalities. My main advice is to stop trying so hard, as annoying as that is. Play “hard to…[Read more]

How old is he? His testicles may be closer than you think. 😉

In the meantime, you could try using a stand-in. A lot of people use a stuffed toy. Simply redirect him to that whenever he starts humping.

Our beautiful Jenny went in for her spay on Tuesday, unfortunately she had a reaction to the anaesthetic and passed away before the operation. We still can’t believe it. I had a weird feeling in the week leading up to it, not just normal nerves, more of a ‘we need to make the most of this week’ type feeling, it felt quite final but I just thought…[Read more]

So the other day, I went down to the pet shop for a small dog bone with my fiancé, we ended up rescuing a Rabbit. Don’t ask me how it happened but the little twat had a sparkle in his eye and we brought him home.

Ever since we have gotten a minor bond with him,  he is constantly trying to hump me. I know.. Alot of people say get him neutered, b…[Read more]

I have read -every-thing I can find and am at a loss. I don’t know what to do. I adopted two rabbits that were already bonded about 5 months ago. One male, one female, both spayed/neutered. One is 2 and one is 3 years old. They get along well. For the first month or two things were as expected. I would lay on the floor 2-3 times a day for about 30…[Read more]

The nature center in town had a bunny that looked like a cottontail rabbit (of course it wasn’t because you can’t keep them in cages).

It was there as a demonstration for the schoolkids who took field trips there.

One time I took my daughter there and he was gone.

The workers said he was doing fine the evening before and the next day they came…[Read more]

Only upon cleaning up her room today that I noticed that his poop was uncharacteristically smaller than normal. In hindsight I now recall it had been that way a few days prior as well. I guess at the time it didn’t strike me as anything weird. But now in looking back I’d be easily convinced that this is connected to his death. Upon doing some min…[Read more]

You said you never noticed a dewlap on her before the spay? I would take her to the vet. Can you feel the dewlap and make sure its just malleable fat like mentioned above? If it’s hard then it could be something more worrisome especially if it just formed after the surgery. Also is it possible to include a picture of the area?

I would wait a while, it’s good you want to make sure Lilly has the best life possible, but you don’t have to rush to get her a companion right away. Maybe by the time Lilly is old enough and well recovered from her spay you can reapply for that adoption application and show you have much more experience with rabbits! You won’t have to buy another…[Read more]

My Rain passed a year ago, and one day I went out to the yard next to her grave/memorial area. There’s a little table we keep near it that’s covered in dust because nothings touched it in so long. That day I looked over and noticed rabbit pawprints in the dust, I knew they were a rabbit’s because of two small front ones and big long back ones, and…[Read more]

Coming home one day I heard my first Pug, Ali, barking along with the other dogs as we approached the door.  She had been gone about a week.

I also felt my Kira press her back up against mine as I lay on my side in bed.  That was her place to sleep, us back to back.  She had also been gone about a week.

Hugs to you and your mom.

I’m so sorry for your loss, he was an adorable bun. 🙁

I think it’s very very unlikely that the smoke or cleaning caused this, so please don’t beat yourself up. Very sadly sometimes buns die very suddenly with very few warning signs. Often the more sudden, the less that can be done to help them.

Did you notice whether he ate his dinner normally…[Read more]
