I had a dog who developped marked hind end weakness at 9 years of age. A CT scan showed changes to the lumbar and sacral vertebrae and discs. She was put on daily NSAID (non-steroidal antiinflammatory meds) and gabapentin against pain. Rabbits can have the same types of meds, metacam (meloxicam) and gabapentin. (Corticosteroids should be avoided…[Read more]

I’m sorry your bun is dealing with this. 🙁
How old is he? If he’s neutered, how old was he at the time of surgery?

Hi everyone, I am new to this group and I am glad I found it! Does anyone have experience with their bunny having weak back legs? My Giant Flemish, Bo, can hop but he has atrophy in his back legs, has lost weight because he’s not eating as much, and now also won’t jump into his litter box. I had taken him to the vet 5 months ago because I not…[Read more]

Hello everyone. I’m new to the forum, so please bear with me if I make any mistakes!
I recently adopted a bunny that is now a month old whose name is Baby. When I adopted her she was 1 month at the time (which I know is horrible, but I wanted to be able to ensure that she was getting the appropriate care without her mother). The previous owner…[Read more]

Can you temporarily put a litter pan in the old room where it used to be and slowly move it out of the room?

Hello, new here, but not new to buns.
I have heard/felt a few of my dogs. Not a spiritual person, but I know they are there.

Hello everyone. This is my first post on this forum, so forgive me if I do something incorrectly.
I recently adopted a young rabbit (around 1 month old) named Baby. Baby did not have access to her mother with her last owner, so she was weaned very early from my understanding of the situation. The last owner said that she had already begun to eat…[Read more]

My little Guy got home yesterday after his operation and he’s already gotten his stitches out. The wound is still closed and not swollen or red. I was just wondering if he absolutely needs to get them re-stiched. I feel like a day later he’ll do the same. And I’m curious to know if it’s a long process to get him stitched?

BZOO replied to the topic New bun doesn't seem interested in hay in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 5 months ago
Only been here since Wednesday.
He doesn’t seem to fill up on pellets, but he does like Nature’s Salad, a mix of dried flowers and herbs. Do I need to be careful with that? He’s had a handful each of these two days. We also call it pig crack, as my piggies adore it and must have it!😁
