He could get a bit of extra cecal poops. That’s nothing to be worried about, because it will right itself over the next few days. Just monitor poop (ie check so there is poop), and keep an eye to see so he has an appetite. 🙂

My old rabbit Cotton did that… there was a container of dried carrot and the room was — or so I thought — bunny-proofed; I turned my head for literally one second and i turned back to a noise and he ripped the top of a tight seal container off!! With his teeth! I ran over and grabbed it from him but he took a ton and ran away and gobbled t…[Read more]

So far not much progress. Yesterday went like:
-Turned on the fan in their room on low towards the end of afternoon nap. Ruby was under futon. looked scared but not terrified, at least didn’t thump but wouldn’t come out.
-I turned it off so she would come out and eat at her normal time. She came right out.
-She went to other bedroom where fan…[Read more]

I got him a green bell pepper and celery last night. He ate only the celery with no problem. I have an emergency visit today for him since he barely ate last night and he’s only sitting in one spot. His face is still wet and still sneezing.
Hopefully they can figure out what is wrong with him today.

Thank you @pinkiemarie, appreciate your help. I had to do another bum bath yesterday, but it didn’t go well, he saw the basin in which we did it last time and he really freaked out, I’m so worried about him injuring himself. But it’s costly to keep going to the vet just to clean him. Yesterday he did a full urination (not just a dribble) outside…[Read more]

Our bunny likes to get on the couch and chew it up! Any ideas for stopping it?

Sometimes when stuff like this happens we blame ourselves or think, “what could have happened differently if I had…” but instead of that, think about what a great life your Bun lived. Now she will rest peacefully with a life free of pain. She is in bun heaven enjoying bananas and blueberries and binkying just at the thought of you. You’ll meet…[Read more]

Omg Breintje, and Cooper! 🤣 Last week we spent a night in the garden shed, Vilde decided to share my morning coffee -by physically hopping into the mug 😬 Luckily I always let my coffee cool before I drink it.
I often miss vital parts of the plot when Im watching tv, because Vilde comes hopping and lands on my chest. Since it’d be extremely bad…[Read more]

He would probably start eating them at some point, as you decrease the amount of old pellets in the mix. But it wouldn’t hurt to ask what the old food is, and see if it’s suitable for him.

He was innocently snuggling, with his teeth. 😛

Hello all,
Over a month ago my beloved rabbit, Cotton, had passed away.
I now have a new baby bunny who is a Holland Lop. He was born on February 17th, (7.5 weeks old??). Anyway, he is literally the cutest bunny I have ever seen. He is a cream magpie — His “father” was a chocolate magpie and his “mother” was a blue. So he is a cream magpie with…[Read more]

These droppings look wonderful. Full of golden bits of hay from the look of them. Nice size and shape.
General signs of good health in a rabbit are, for example, a good appetite, clear eyes without discharge, soft and shiny fur (unless the rabbit is in a molt, in which case the fur can look horrible even if the bun is super healthy), lots of…[Read more]

Is this dropping normal? Also what are signs of a healthy rabbit?

I live in Nicaragua, cows eat a mix of grains and … food scraps to get big, no hay, petshops rarely bring hay, and most of the bunnies here are raised with lettuce and certain herbs that are found in the wild, and they are healthy even without the hay (which is a huge relief) they get apple wood branches to chew on for their teeth.

Breintje & Cooper’s shenanigans crack me up! Especially picturing the mash potatoes! Dorian does the couch thing a bit, but a little more calm. I have however recently discovered a bunch of holes in my sweat shirts from when I though he was innocently snuggling.

My rabbit recently had an issue where he was wet all under and up his backside above his tail and everything. The underside looked a lot like that. I had to give him a butt bath and cleaned him up but still missed a spot above his tail! Anyhow it turned out that the way one of his litter boxes was arranged was causing him to sit in a puddle. I…[Read more]
