It’s possible that he is sitting in his litter box on top of wet litter, and that is what stained his foot.  If he is free range, it’s also possible that there was a small, unnoticed spill of some liquid on a kitchen floor (if he goes there) and he hopped through that.  Try to clean the litter box whenever there is a wet area and keep the litter a…[Read more]

Often when a rabbit presses down his stomach, that means he has gas.  It’s good to have baby simethicone on hand to treat rabbits for gas. The fact that he started eating and acting normal after a while, might mean that he passed the gas and felt better.  Massages can also be given to rabbits to help alleviate gas – there are videos showing how t…[Read more]

So I have a friend that has a rabbit and she said that her rabbit was pressing down it’s stomach and he kinda roll to the side. The rabbit was eating either but after an hour he went back to normal, he was playing, eating and drinking again. So not sure if it’s a normal behavior

I had them in carriers, 1 pair per carrier. I lined the bottom with their normal pine pellet litter, with a layer of hay on top. I also put small water bowls attached to the carrier door, with just a little water in them so it didn’t splash all over the place.

I would offer them favorite wet greens during a longer lunch break each day. I was…[Read more]

Where did you keep them while driving? In a carrier? And also, did you make a makeshift litter box for them or just kept hay in puppy pads in a carrier?

    Thanks!

I researched the subject of travel a lot. Should fly with you in the cabin on the plane. Do not give it to the luggage. May not adjust the pressure in the luggage. The safest is to be in the cabin with you. Use a soft-sided bag. Pet bag size is changing for airlines, be careful. You have to call and make a reservation for the rabbit before the…[Read more]

I want to apologize. I re-read my other reply and it sounded snippy and that wasn’t my intention. I’m really really sorry.

Hi, my bunny 6 months, unsterilization. Today I saw a yellow stain on one of my rabbit’s back legs. But not on the other leg. Is this a pee stain? Or is it a scalding urine? Should i worry? I’m adding a picture.

I just drove from CA to MA with my bunnies (6 days of driving) and they handled it really well. My vet thought that driving was the better option because we would have more control over the situation (like being able to stop when needed, syringe feeding, etc.).

BUT we would have had at least 1 stop over flying, and we have four rabbits, so it was…[Read more]

Hmmm, is the fur pulling happening during mounting attempts? Or is she over-grooming the area? Or does it seem like aggressive interactions?

Have there been any changes in your house? New pets, people, etc? Sometimes stress can cause over-grooming in bonded pairs.
