Hi all,
I lost one of my two bonded buns this week very quickly and unexpectedly. While I’m mourning and all that myself, my main focus is on his littermate and brother that I still have. He has never been without his brother for more than a day when he got hospitalized. I’m aware that as hard as this is on me, it’ll be harder on him. I’m…[Read more]

I’m not sure if it’s the panacur or the metacam, but Luna’s poops are bigger today. Not full sized but bigger than they were.
I booked the appointment for next week with the other vet as recommended. Will give me time to see how she progresses this week, and I’m considering separating them again for 24 hours this weekend to measure water intake…[Read more]

Yeah I feed carrot tops and kale a few times a week and rotate them around. Thank you!

Yeah the link doesn’t work for me either, but I’m pretty sure I’ve read this before. I guess I’m just being too paranoid about what veggies to feed my bun and accidentally causing bludder sludge. Thank you so much!

@Hazel I am noting the lack of contribution to this thread! 😀
And before I can be called out in return here are a couple of Dorian.
I am not sure what the little curled paw means.

From my experience rabbits see us as group members or bonded mates. That they see us as group members doesn’t have to mean we all have the same status: it may be that you’ve made clear to your bunny that you’re not accepting his circling behaviour.
Our bun wasn’t fixed when I took him in, and he started to hump and spray everything. He didn’t do…[Read more]

Thank you, everyone. This was a hard one all of them have been hard some worse than others.
I feel bad for Tater Tot as they just started the bonding process and he loved when it was time to come out to play with Joey. Now he runs over to where her pen is and waits for her and it breaks my heart all over again.
I think losing my dad not long ago…[Read more]

Also, if you decide your not happy with the paper pellets for pee, try wood pellets (the ones marketed for horses are very cheap), they work great. I use those in the litter box and the crumbled paper litter for the main cage and he has a fleece blanket in his hide.

upon closer inspection, it is definitely a chunk of skin taken off and now this is a serious bonding issue so I will move to that section! I think mites would have been a lot less stressful.

Wiggles gets offended when the broom touches her. While I’m sweeping, she randomly pounces at it. Also if I’m eating and don’t share with her. Putting my hand into her bowl when she’s moody leads to her pouncing at me as well. LOL. And when I touch her toes, she pulls them away. There were times she peed on the floor and I was cleaning it up with…[Read more]

Yes, moulting can be very difficult for rabbits. It’s still prudent to check with your vet, considering his latest tummy troubles, but I’m guessing that this is a moult problem.
When Breintje goes into moult he leaves squishy smelly carpet surprises for days before he starts to shed. We are always puzzled by what caused it: wondering if he’s…[Read more]

Things have escalated a bit. Calliope (mounted rabbit) has some minor cuts on her face that must have happened while I was at school today. I don’t know where to go from here. Do I need to separate them completely? Partially? Do I need to do a few stress sessions? Start over with bonding completely? They have never had issues like this but they…[Read more]

Yes, Nethies can have very fierce personalities and they’re quite active too. The love for climbing seems to be a weird Nethie habit too: I’ve met people who built miniature cat climbing posts for their rabbits.
With all that activity and sass they can be a bad match for kids. A friend and her dad bred Nethies, and they always refused to sell…[Read more]
