He’s pretty impatient when it comes to new toys. I remember when he and Joey got sent Christmas boxes from a secret Santa thing he tried to steal all of her toys!

He would steal all of the boxes if he could.

Waffle65 started the topic Eating less during molt, is that normal? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 4 months ago
My lion head Phoebe seems to be shedding for spring right now. I’m not seeing very much fur in her poops, but she does have that shedding line going across her back and I’m seeing a good amount of fur coming off, plus she seems to be constantly grooming herself for the last couple days.
Since this started she’s definitely eating less than usual…[Read more]

Static electricity can be caused by very dry air in the house. It’s why taking off a warm winter sweater can be a sparkling experience.
There are indoor hygrometers which measure the humidity, and a small device doesn’t have to cost much.
If the air is dry the floor or upholstery can also cause static electricity. Putting a rubber/foam mat on…[Read more]

The amount of love shining through your words is amazing, this is one lucky bun to get such dedicated loving care. I’m sorry I don’t have anything to add regarding fecal transplants, but I hope it’ll work for your little sweetie!
You mentioned that she has anxiety and problems with her eyes. That makes me think: could she benefit from massage or…[Read more]

Yes, hay on top is a good idea. It also prevents foot problems, their urine is quite irritating to the skin. We use wooden pellets as well, and we put a layer of hay on top of it.
One more tip to let her spend more time there: put a pile of hay in a corner or at the back. Rabbits are just plain weird: they love to eat while on the John 😆
The…[Read more]

Hi
Thanks for your insight and help. You give me hope which has been in short supply.
That’s sad that it didnt help your rabbit though. I’ve spoken to a few people that it didnt help. Hopefully we will be lucky. I managed to pop them into her mouth rather than mashing them up so hopefully more of the bacteria will have still being in their…[Read more]

Yes, I would try a simple saline solution to flush it out.

We also had a bamboo bowl set, but they became difficult to clean. The surface soaked up moisture and got a bit bubbly, that collected dirt in small pockets. I ended up tossing them because of hygiene reasons.
Bamboo may be less ideal as a green material than we suspected, because bamboo plastics are often a mixture of bamboo, plastics and…[Read more]

We had a big animal cruelty scandal in NL this week: the caretakers of a petting zoo just walked away and left their animals uncared for for days 😥 When neighbours found out that it was abandoned and nobody was taking care of the animals they called in rescuers. A local rabbit sanctuary suddenly had to take in over 40 soiled and malnourished…[Read more]

Yikes, it’s shocking that a vet would treat a bun like that! 🙁 I hope that a proper rabbit savvy vet can shed some light on this, and on your rabbit’s sex as well. It can be difficult to see in young rabbits.
If your bun is indeed part lop and healthy, he/she may go through a very cute phase that’s called “helicopter ears”, or “bunway…[Read more]

That’s very annoying and confusing!
I would definitely get a second opinion and request a dental x-ray. Usually they only need to do very light sedation for x-rays, if at all (depends on how squirmy the bunny is and if they are able to trance them).
Did she give you any pain meds? Sometimes even a little metacam helps buns eat their hay when…[Read more]
