This happens with dogs too, where sometimes they just aren’t that food motivated. The advice in those cases is to use a higher-reward treat, keep sessions much shorter, and to be sure to time them to when your bun is hungry.

Hmmm, I think you might want to weigh the pros and cons of the oats. If it seems like it’s really the oats that are making him not want his other food, then maybe the oats aren’t the best thing to give? I think I’d be more concerned with fiber and other nutrition over oats for the sake of weight gain.

OMG those baby pictures of Cookie are ridiculously adorable! What a precious and funny bunny 🙂

I kind of see it like when cats knead things when they are happy, less of a marking it’s theirs but it just feels good/gives them comfort. Dorian is usually licks everything when he is happy and super relaxed,  often followed by flops.

Cookie was such a cute baby, but what a pretty bun now! Looks like they get up to all sorts of fun and mischief!

Fresno and Nora post their clipping ordeal are precious too! Speaking of I need to do that here soon… neither of us are looking forward to that.

I am emailing them right now. I don’t know much about how this rescue works with fosters and potential adopters. I do know that the house tour etc. is done via skype.

I didn’t think of that. This is a new shelter so I’ll ask them. The rescue I usually adopt from has temporarily shut down for renovations. I’ve had a few foster fails lol. It would be great to give a bun a place to land even if temporarily and if Tater likes them they can stay.

I’ve had more than one bun that couldn’t be bonded. They wanted all of the attention.
