Yeah here where I live are not much things for rabbits so i try to do them myself or buy stuff which are for dogs or cats.
Do your bunnies have these baby stacking cups? I have bought a lot of toys for her but she is not interested in them at all so I’m scared to buy anything else haha

Hi. Thank you for response! Yes she is spayed and thank you so much for your input! I will definitely look into possibly getting another rabbit.

Ben begs all day long and I’ve started giving in to him but in a way where I’m winning but he thinks he is. I go to the hay container, grab a handful of hay and hold it above his head and he excitedly picks out the best piece 😀 So I get to see him begging adorably, he gets a “treat” and we’re both happy.

I’m sorry your bun is going through this. I think its unlikely they’d catch bacteria in the lungs with a cotton swab? It is however true that fungi sometimes grab the opportunity to colonise tissues when antibiotics have done their job and killed the bacteria, which is why humans often get yeast infections after a course of antibiotics.
I second…[Read more]

Sorry no one has replied to this yet!
I don’t have any experience with respiratory issues, hopefully someone else can chime in on that. I know that nebulizing is usually a good way to go though.
For joints, I haven’t tried the sherwood joint tabs but do use the Oxbow joint treats. I think they help, but it’s hard to say. My buns do like them at…[Read more]

We biked to the beach over the weekend and saw loons for the first time as well as some types of sea ducks I need to look up.

Neutering is my top suggestion… sometimes vets aren’t necessarily advertised as exotics vets but do have vets that are experienced with rabbits. But since things were pretty good before, maybe you just need to clean really really well to try to get rid of any lingering smells? Spring time can also cause more hormonal behaviors. Adding extra…[Read more]

Yes those look really cool to me! I’ve also used simple food puzzles that are meant for dogs with my buns, but I’ve noticed more and more that are designed for rabbits. Another simple one is to get a mini-muffin tin, and then put yogurt lids over the holes. Clean egg- cartons are also fun to hide pellets in, but I’ve heard that you should buy…[Read more]

How old was it? I agree with LBJ10 that it looks like concentrated pee that’s starting to dry.

By the way it looked, completely gone. The other 3 are just fine, and the vet said his dental health looked great aside from that.
The vet did mentioned the problem going forward is that his one top incisor will need to be regularly filed down by the vet since it will eventually start to overgrow.
It seems like such a mystery to me, it was a bit…[Read more]

Thanks for the replies everyone! Admittedly, we probably gave our bun more fruit than we should have when we first got her. But we’ve learned to really limit that now (this is especially important since she has a lot of health problems). But I do give her a nibble of an apple every once in a while, but it’s very rare.
Unfortunately, I can’t se…[Read more]

Is your rabbit spayed? Aggression is normal when first introduced to another rabbit, especially if they aren’t spayed. Another rabbit is honestly the best thing to prevent loneliness and although she seems happy with you, she’s probably still missing out on important bunny socializing that you can’t provide as a human. Bonding rabbits can be hard…[Read more]

My bunnies have been great with apple. Maybe it’s because apple has a lot of “water” or rather, “liquids” in it, that they digest it better? I saw something online about apple being a better tolerated fruit because of the liquid content rather than the thicker piece of fruit. Obviously, I’m not sure if this is true or not, but I guess it kind of…[Read more]

Hello all!
I have had my pet bunny for almost 2 years now and I got her when she was only a couple months old. She is a singular rabbit and hasn’t ever displayed the desire to have another rabbit friend since she is free roam and spends most of her time with me, I’ve become her bonded partner. This summer I am going to be working full time from…[Read more]
