They have a bone in their tail so thats probably it. But you generally dont see it because of the fur. It doesnt look broken to me, and the color is nice and pink.

Have you tried a different antibiotic? Pen G could be used for an ear infection, but there are other antibiotics that might work. It really depends on what the bacteria is and what it is sensitive to. As for the surgery, what kind was it? Are they wanting to do an ablation? Some people on BB have had luck with that procedure, so I wouldn’t…[Read more]

Yes, tell us more about how it was determined that this isn’t EC-related. Not that neurological disorders don’t exist in rabbits. But the vast majority of the time, the neurological problem is caused by EC.
I agree you should get another opinion – one from a vet that actually cares. Whether or not she can safely be spayed is going to depend on…[Read more]

Hi guys,
around a month ago I posted about my little guy Stanley, who had been seeing a vet regularly due to ear issues. Thinking maybe it was mites I got 2 different opinions and was told by both it was a chronic ear infection. He was on Penn G and meloxicam for a month but the vet said that the Penn G wasn’t helping and the only other option w…[Read more]

I agree with finding another vet!
Unspayed female buns tend to live to be 6-8, as opposed to 9-12 for spayed. There are always exceptions to things.
I’m also curious to know how EC was ruled out. There could also be issues with the inner ear causing balance issues.

I think I’d seek another vet tbh. We will all die, but it’s generally considered better if death occurs later rather than sooner. It sounds like your vet might be a bit jaded?
Not all female rabbits get uterine cancer, but the risk is high enough that spaying is always recommended for healthy does. In your case your bun is not completely healthy,…[Read more]

my mable has had two neurological episodes not related to E. C over the past year. She has a hard time balancing and hopping. She has a head wobble. My husband now calls her wobbles instead of mable. She’s no longer using the litter boxes. I’m not really sure why that is.
Her last episode was in October and the one before was in May. When I add…[Read more]

Hello! I have a problem with my bunny. I recently got surprised with a baby bunny and she refuses to go on our hardwood floor. Placing out mats isn’t an option because of a stubborn person living with me. So my question is if I can train her up in some way? She has little space and I’d love for her to jump around!

Hello. Boys have been together for a week now and this morning a tiff happened in their new mini maze haven. The bigger boy and dominant got. Stuck and scared and caused a fiasco of him chasing and nipping fur. Nobody hurt and I am keeping them in the pen together. I took the maze haven out and now they are slowly coming out of the hide boxes. ESP…[Read more]

Hi again! I am going to call them bonded now! Are you able to update the title of the thread? Yay!
There were a couple mounts/ nips after, and one chase, but they made up right after and it was very minor. Not like before. That was after days of no incidents that I saw, so I don’t feel worried about them anymore. I’ve left them alone a bit and…[Read more]

Hi RonClark, I see this is a duplicate of the thread you posted in Behavior. I’m going to lock this thread and move your Behavior thread over to the Bonding section. I’m not sure why you are getting logged out but I’ve alerted the other moderators so we can look into it!
