When it comes to frozen bottles, what do you do with them? Do you wrap them in a blanket first or just lay them out?

There are lots of handy tips here: https://binkybunny.com/infocategory/cooling-tips/
My buns seem to really like ceramic tiles when it’s hot, more so than frozen bottles. Bottles last a lot longer though. They also like to lay in front of the fan. š

Do you have a blacklight handy? Ringworm will fluoresce under a UV light.

Hello,
I was hoping someone could recommend a good vet to get my female lionhead rabbit (about 10 months) spayed without breaking the bank. I have found the average so far to be close to $700 Canadian and was wondering if someone knew a cheaper option or some suggestions. I’m willing to travel a fair bit if cost is cheaper outside the city. I’m…[Read more]

Yea she has had no contact with any rabbits at all. Iām assuming maybe she caught it in the vet when she went in for her spay surgery and stayed there for most of the day.
I have read more on ringworm and I assume that is what she has:(
I still have not heard back from the vet which is frustrating….but I am going to call again in the m…[Read more] -

We def use bunny poo in our garden and in our indoor plants. I planted some seeds in a pot and it didn’t start growing until I put some bunny poo in the soil.

Hi, does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep rabbits cool during hot weather? That is, besides blasting the AC lol. So far I have been trying to make sure they have lots of cool water, keep them away from any hot, direct sun and have ordered some ceramic tiles in case they want to lay on those to cool off.
Thanks!

Yes, I agree that it would be difficult to pinpoint the source of the infection. These things just happen. Unless, of course, she was in direct contact with another rabbit with a nasty ringworm infection. But I assume that is highly unlikely. Most fungal infections are “spontaneous” and can come about due to stress or a weakened immune system.

Thank you, I’ve been seeing that food floating around a lot!! I think I’ll try out the Science Selective rabbit food first and if I have an issues with that, I’ll try the Garden Select ^^

It sounds like Pi just got spooked or upset because Dorian was in his territory. Usually when aĀ bunny is panicked like that it’s best to just leave them alone and try to remove whatever the stressor is. You can speak calming to them but often trying to catch or touch them freaks them out more. I’m sure he will calm back down soon!

Hmmmmmm, well it might make sense to just move all their stuff into the main room, and prevent them from going in there while they get set up in their new home base. I’m guessing they do just feel nice and safe in there?
Do they come out and explore during times of day when they are active? My buns will spend a lot of the day sleeping in their…[Read more]
