She was prescribed a spray called “Douxo Pyo Micro-emulsion Spray”.
Yes that is what he ears are appearing like… as if they are burnt.
I rinsed her ears and have been trying to apply a cool compresent on them.I am unsure of what else to do…
Poor thing…. 🙁

LBJ10 replied to the topic runny eye in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 2 months ago
The sneezing fits suggest there is something else going on. I wouldn’t assume the eye weeping in unrelated. If your bunny has a URI, it can spread to the eye through a tube that connects the eye to the sinus. Antibiotic eye drops would not reach the infection in the sinuses. I would have the vet take a look again. Even if your bunny doesn’t have…[Read more]

What are you using? It isn’t unheard of for anti-fungals to cause irritation. They can “burn” already angry skin.

My rabbit right eyes is always watery, it feels sticky and is white and sometimes is clear. And his fur is around his eyes is like clump up? But when he cleans it, the clumping goes away. I brought him to the vet he did say he had a bacteria in his eyes but is heal now because of antibiotics but the watering never stop. And someone said to me some…[Read more]

There are different treatments, so I would communicate with your vet about this adverse reaction. When I treated Wick for his ringworm, there was an oral medication and topical. I documented a lot here, if it would be helpful: https://binkybunny.com/forums/topic/update-fungalringworm-tx-no-actual-worms-involved/

Did I just order a custom wooden sign with this on it? Yes, yes I did. Even if they don’t bond (unlikely as they seem to be in love lol) it can go above both pens.

Hi everyone,
Turns out Annie has a fungal infection (ringworm).
I have been treating her with with a spray, but it seems to be really irritating her. After two days of spraying her (fallowing the correct use instructions) her ears are flaming red, and very warm to the touch.. and I can tell that she is in discomfort.
I tried to rinse her ears…[Read more]

Hmmmm, have there been any changes in your household or neighborhood? Maybe construction outside or a barking dog? I’ve also heard sad stories of neighbors using those rodent- deterrents that emit a high pitched sound causing distress to rabbits.
Based on his age, there’s a strong possibility that this is all hormonal in nature (the peeing etc.),…[Read more]

Hey guys,
We have a newish bun, Leo, who used to love coming out of his playpen and explore. But the last few weeks, he lately has been terrified of every noise or movement when he is out exploring and playing. For example, the last few times when I let him out, I’ll sit or lay in the floor and he’ll come over, sometimes he lets me pet him, other…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Male and female bonding—mixed signals? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 2 months ago
I agree with @DanaNM — rabbits who are not fixed cannot be truly bonded due to the hormonal aspects. And yes, the likelihood of pregnancy based on ages is very high.

DanaNM replied to the topic Male and female bonding—mixed signals? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 2 months ago
So, uncastrated rabbits cannot be truly bonded. Hormones will take over and prevent them from bonding. Many of the behaviors you described are also hormonal in nature. If you would like your rabbits to live together, you need to them spayed/neutered, and then you can go through the bonding process.
It is also almost 100% certain that your female…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Bonding advice for two diff size bunnies in the forum BONDING 5 years, 2 months ago
It’s very normal to be stressed in bonding! And yes I think that’s a good plan, you definitely want to make sure both buns are healthy before starting the process.
It can be especially hard not to be protective or play favorites. I find it helps to try to be as impartial as possible, and try not to project who you think should be dominant or…[Read more]
