Aww bunnies have such a sneaky way of weaseling into our hearts 😂 One minute, they’re “just a bunny”, and the next, you’re ready to sacrifice vacations, parties, etc. 😉
And I’m sure your bun will be perfectly fine!
Good luck, and have fun on your vacation!

LBJ10 replied to the topic Male and female bonding—mixed signals? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 2 months ago
Yes, having them both done is a must. If you only neutered your male, you would be looking at false pregnancies in the female because the male may still mount her even if he’s neutered (e.g. to display dominance). If you only spayed your female, then you would be looking at a very frustrated male because all he will want to do is mate. In either…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic is she playing or being aggressive in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 2 months ago
She should be spayed, even if she is a single bunny. Hormonal behaviors can continue to escalate and become quite bothersome. There are a lot of people who cannot wait for their bunny to be spayed/neutered simply because the hormonal behaviors are just too much. Also, with females, it is important to get them spayed to eliminate the risk of…[Read more]

i didn’t see this when i started here, but hi! i’m alex and i am a happy owner of a pretty house bunny named shadow (but i prefer to call her princess or just bunny so she doesn’t respond well to shadow :,)). i’m a student still and i try my best to make room for her. so far it’s been pretty good! i’ve kept her on a daily routine that works well…[Read more]

oh! that would make sense, she was previously in my brothers care, and frankly he wasn’t exactly ready for a animal. he told me she was spayed but she might not be too. i’m not particularly worried abt this behavior but should i look into getting her spayed? i don’t have any male rabbits or anything so i don’t see a reason to, but i’m also pretty…[Read more]

Medirabbit does a short mention of the atypical cases. They do not mention azithromycin as a treatment, but it was something one of Wick’s past vets went through, and there are studies comparing it to pen g: https://academic.oup.com/jac/article-abstract/25/suppl_A/91/697854 , https:…[Read more]

Thanks for the update! Although late, ultimately it is great that the problem’s root was identified, and it was thanks to your vigilance and effort! Ear infections are definitely not uncommon for rabbits (ears are their most notable feature, after all!), so there are many resources and cases documented online that can aid hopefully both you and…[Read more]

Hm ok that’s good to know… Maybe Theo also is experiencing something like that. We’ll see what the vet say tomorrow morning! I hope that maybe we can do an oral treatment… these shots are emotionally and physically exhausting :/

Hello Everyone,
I figured I would update you all on Annie, since you were all so helpful.
I brought her into the vet today, and turns out she has a pretty bad ear infection in her right ear.
I am very upset about it all since I try my best to stay on top of her and any issues she is having.
I had brought her into the vet about 3 weeks ago…[Read more]

She’s been a bit slower today, which makes sense because I was watching her the whole night so she probably got interrupted sleep. Some poops were made in the morning. She ate lettuce without any hesitation luckily! When I give her softened pellets she’ll take those too. Hopefully if she can keep up this till tomorrow things will turn out fine lik…[Read more]

You might also check out the dog trainer “Kikopup” on youtube. She has some videos on “capturing calmness” and working with high-prey drive dogs to remain calm around prey and in general. I used some her methods to work with my in-law’s teenage hunting dog and found them to be really effective!
She has some very impressive vids of her 5 dogs…[Read more]
