Hello, I need help, I’m in a rough situation with my bunnies. My bunnies did not bond as one rabbit was constantly chasing and nipping the other rabbit no matter what I tried. I tried 24/7 bonding both small and big spaces, table bonding, and stress bonding. Nothing worked but I can also not keep the mean rabbit as she tries to hurt my other…[Read more]

I’d cut them off with scissors. Don’t cut too close to the skin (obviously). It’s way less hassle for both you and the bun to cut off mats and start “afresh” with a good brushing routine. The hair will grow back (again, obviously), but how long it takes depends on where in his hair growth cycle he is, rabbits don’t have continuous hair growth like…[Read more]

Hi everybody, I just got my first rescue bun peanut just over three weeks ago, and we are just getting him used to being groomed. My rabbit peanut has some mats on the back of his front legs that I can’t get off. I brush him on top of a large blue cabinet I have, but today, he jumped off the cabinet when I was trying to get the mats off.

    So does…[Read more]

Thanks 🥰 We always found that her blue eyes were so pretty, and I have a friend who always thought it looked like she had pants because of her dark bum and legs haha

It is too soon to tell, tbh.

Recovery from snuffles can take quite some time. The nasal mucosa is irritated and mucus will keep forming for a time even as the causative bacteria die off. When a human has an upper respiratory infection/ sinus infection we often treat with local corticosteroids, with or without additional antibiotics, to help calm…[Read more]

Thx for the kind words 💓 She def was very loved. And I think, one day, all the great things she taught us about bunny needs will help us care for another that needs a home.

I’m very sorry for your loss.

It really is tough to lose one’s rabbit. Rabbits are the essence of sweetness and sass combined. To get to have a bun for a friend is a great privilege.

Clover was beautiful 💗 Thank you for giving her a long and wonderful rabbit life, filled with love and cuddles and bananas!

My husband and I had to let go of our senior bunny last night (cancer) and it’s just so tough. Even at 11+, she still had energy and loved food, and her and I often had girls’ nights after everyone went to bed (we also had two dogs that she loved). She was free-roam but came out more when it was quiet.

Anyway, just wanted to post here among other…[Read more]

There is sometimes a rough period after a fixing because of what’s happening to the hormones directly after the operation. It’s not uncommon for hormonal behaviors to be exacerbated for a few weeks to a couple months afterwards. It will most likely calm down over time. At the same time, be sure to monitor that these are not signs of pain.

I got Jupiter a couple of days ago and the previous owner is telling me he is a lop x lionhead and I think there is just no way that is the case, please let me know your thoughts as I’m no expert!

I understand both an owner and vet’s efforts can seem futile after 2 failed attempts. At the same time, I will mention that it took, from start to finish, five months for my rabbit to be free of his sneezing symptoms from a URI. We first tried Bactrim, then Baytril, then ended with a course of Baytril + Penicillin shots. It took trial and error…[Read more]
