I’d cut them off with scissors. Don’t cut too close to the skin (obviously). It’s way less hassle for both you and the bun to cut off mats and start “afresh” with a good brushing routine. Hi everybody, I just got my first rescue bun peanut just over three weeks ago, and we are just getting him used to being groomed. My rabbit peanut has some mats on the back of his front legs that I can’t get off. I’m very sorry for your loss.

It really is tough to lose one’s rabbit. Rabbits are the essence of sweetness and sass combined. To get to have a bun for a friend is a great privilege.

My husband and I had to let go of our senior bunny last night (cancer) and it’s just so tough. Even at 11+, she still had energy and loved food, and her and I often had girls’ nights after everyone went to bed (we also had two dogs that she loved). She was free-roam but came out more when it was quiet.

There is sometimes a rough period after a fixing because of what’s happening to the hormones directly after the operation. It’s not uncommon for hormonal behaviors to be exacerbated for a few weeks to a couple months afterwards. It will most likely calm down over time. At the same time, be sure to monitor that these are not signs of pain.

I got Jupiter a couple of days ago and the previous owner is telling me he is a lop x lionhead and I think there is just no way that is the case, please let me know your thoughts as I’m no expert!
