🥰🥰🥰
She is relaxing when she’s on her side like that. It can look very dramatic when a rabbit suddenly assume that type of position, the first time I saw it I thought my bun had had a seizure.
It just means contentedness and perfect relaxation. It’s called flopping.
Congratulations on your new bun. She’s beautiful!

Afternoon:

Later:

Now:

Hello Everyone!I am a new bun mom who just got a Holland lop on the 10th. Besides the fact of being a new bun mom this is my first pet ever. I have done years of research but research is different than actually having the sweet bunny. This morning my sweet bunny was playing to her hearts content from 5am – 9:30. I…[Read more]

If you can’t find a good home directly, please take her to a no kill shelter.
Good luck and don’t beat yourself up. Crap happens. You tried your best.

Sonn started the topic Two Types Of Bunnies in the forum THE LOUNGE 5 years, 2 months ago
There are two types of bunnies in this world. I cleaned their cages last night (these are sleep cages they use pens during the day my youngest cat is far too curious at night).
Here we have bunny 1: Cage is mostly clean. He’s dumped his toys out of the silver bowl and there are some stray poops. Hay outside of the cage. Some mess in the toy bowl…[Read more]

She is still doing well and acting normal so nothing is getting worse at this point. Thanks for your suggestions, hopefully, they help make her more comfortable!

Hi
Me again 😀
so we are still doing the play dates – long sessions up to 10 hours ( and some days shorter depending on time- but always at least 2 hours) they are happy together but not together – I had extended the pen size to a room and they loved the extra space doing binkies and zoomies but staying apart. Sleeping apart.
There was no…[Read more]

Well I have survived my first bonding session where I was a ball of stress for four long minutes! Both bunnies did really well for the most part. They were really active for the afternoon and seemed interested in the space. Tina (to be renamed) kept shoving her head under Wolfie but he refused to groom her (he’s just hop away). He eventually mo…[Read more]

Oh I see now I only answered your first question!
Two rabbits will be happy together even if you’re away from home much of the time -but since the bonding process can be long and rather difficult, an already bonded couple would be ideal.
From what I gather, you’ll be home to check on them every day? Even if on some shifts you just come home to…[Read more]

I moved this for you since it was in the Read Only section.
So, these have all been injections? Amoxicillin can only be given by injection, but the other two can be given orally. To me, it sounds like none of these have been given long enough. If antibiotics are stopped too soon, the infection can rebound. It sounds like the Baytril has had some…[Read more]

I recently got a bunny named Kevin! He’s my 3rd rabbit I’ve raised. The first was pretty stand offish, the second was very loving and affectionate. Kevin is a little over 10 weeks old. The first week we had him he was pretty nervous but he seemed to warm up soon. He will now flop out with his feet all the way behind him and relax. My previous…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Picky elderbun now eating less: If he's eating hay and oats, does he need CC? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 2 months ago
That’s a good idea Bam. Bunnies tend to like berries and they do tend to have less sugar.

I agree that force feeding should be avoided if it’s stressful for the bun. If he’d be willing to take CC from a plate, it’d be another story. Sometimes buns will eat cc mixed with canned plain pumpkin.
Oats are good as long as he still eats hay. Oats alone have too little fiber to sustain a bun, as I know you know. You will be able to tell from…[Read more]

Looks like a larger breed to me. How old is she? Did the vet give you an estimate? If she is young and still growing, then I would probably guess Flemish or New Zealand. However, I see some tufts around the face… could be a little bit of lionhead in there.
