How recently did they get neutered?
Nipping is normal. Even bonded bunnies will nip at each other sometimes. Biting and fur pulling are another story. I agree with Wick. You may need to take a step back and follow some bonding steps to help reestablish the bond.

I’m confused. So he didn’t get to meet this other bunny?

It doesn’t look particularly angry in the photos… but it’s hard to say. I assume the wet look is from you cleaning it. If you’re worried, then you should have your vet take a look.

Feeling sad and just don’t know what to do. Our 2 year old dwarf dutch is our world. We were supposed to meet with a spayed female 2 years old for a speed date tomorrow. The owners were concerned because he has free roam of the house even though we have a bedroom we would’ve set up for her & they were worried because I said he has a strong per…[Read more]

To answer the question from this topic’s name…. yes. This is typical siblings, which can also mean they can be enemies. Rabbits do not acknowledge family units like we do– they will mate and fight with their siblings, parents, and children all the same. The reason rabbits get along with each other when they are younger is much more due to the…[Read more]

I don’t know if you can answer this question/problem but here it is: I ended up with 2 male Flemish giants bunnies (7 months) they are from the same liter. They share liter boxes eat drink and cuddle each other. There’s obviously a dominate rabbit. They both recently got neutered. My dominate bunny keeps biting my other bunny end will even go for…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Bunny only thumps at me in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 1 month ago
Rabbits can thump for a variety of reasons. It is thought that it’s “purpose” is to warn rabbits that are under ground of dangers.
You may have startled your bun, which would be the most likely reason why he thumped.
Fear is however not the only reason why rabbits thump. Rabbits can thump, so thumping in their behavioral repertoire. Their…[Read more]

Hey guys. I have a 11 month old mini lop that always thumps at me 🥲 I’m working from home so I have the most interaction with him. Do you guys know why is he thumping at me? It affects me so much when he does that! 🥲 for instance, he was munching on his hay and I went to top up, went back to the store room to keep the hay and went back to check o…[Read more]

Thank you so much for replying. Yes, this is a dewclaw on his right front paw. The injury was caused by him catching his nail in the door. The injury goes all the way to the nail bed. It has been about 3 days since it happened and I have been treating it with Betadine. If you have any more information and advice to give that would be greatly…[Read more]

It looks swollen esp in the first picture. Is this a front paw? Do you know what caused it and how long it was since it happened? How deep would you say it is?
Signs of infection in a wound are excessive swelling, seepage and/or pus and marked tenderness around the wound.
There is always a bit of inflammation when a wound is healing,…[Read more]

The bunnies have been together for 48 hours straight. We started on Monday and two overnights.
They share the food, water and litter trays. They play with the toys together. They mostly take turns to eat the hay while the other does binkies and plays and switch off. When fresh hay is out in they both hop in together and munch.louie grooms Milo,…[Read more]

Yes of course the litter! Elsa is still over us, but my area is largely just inundated with rain. After watching the weather and the forecast I decided it would be less stressful if everyone stayed put in their pen. Had it been windy I would’ve moved rooms to avoid trees. But thankfully all is well here!
im not sure if this exists or is wanted, b…[Read more]
