Ugh so stressful! I’m sorry this happened. I think you made the right call by separating them entirely for now. I would give them a good long while of full separation. So maybe a couple weeks for healing, plus another 3-4 on top of that for hurt feelings to subside.
Then I would go back to pre-bonding for a few more weeks and see how they behave…[Read more]

Hadn’t thought of that, as I’m using a dish. But I did get it well powdered in a really good blender.
I was a little excited when I found the video because I’m an idjit and grinding pellets never crossed my mind. With 24 critters, it helps to save some money when you can.🙂

So cute! Name?
You can do a slower transition in order to use up that big bag of food.

Also, you can chuck them outside for the birds.
Be sure to tell dad thanks for the thought!😁

Cookie started to return to normal. But there is something. Cookie and I used to be like partners. But now he always moves freely on his own. He doesn’t show love and commitment to me like he used to. Will our relationship after sterilization always be like this? 😬😬😬

Those treats would be great for hamster if you or someone you know has a hamster or hamsters. I wouldn’t give them to rabbits though as it contains lots of seeds which rabbits should not eat.

Aww, Thumper and Elmer are so cute! 🙂
Is this going to be the chat thread or the picture thread? Or are we throwing out the rule book and making it a free for all? 😀 😆

It’s not inherently toxic, but it definitely is on the “junk food” end of treats and may cause GI issues for a rabbit who may have a more sensitive stomach. I understand not wanting to waste them, but ultimately your dad already spent the money so whether or not you use them doesn’t change that fact (unless you can return them!). I personally…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic Bunny speed date fell through, feeling sad and worried in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 1 month ago
I was going to say the same thing as Dana. Their reason for cancelling the date makes zero sense and I would love to know if it was AFTER you asked for proof of spay (if you did) that they decided free roam is “bad”.
Try not to be sad, you might have dodged a bullet here and I’m sure you will find a companion for your bun eveentually. 🙂

Hi,
My dad has brought me these treats for my bunny, and I don’t wanna waste them. I’m just wondering if they’re safe to eat because I heard a lot of backlash about the company Kaytee.

megsmom2005 started the topic Bunny peeing liter trouble in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 1 month ago
I recently got a bunny at rural king. He seems healthy eats good and poops. We have had liter issues from day one. I had a small plastic container for a liter box he would always pee out it and make a mess. So yesterday I put a dishpan in his house. He drinks water good but every since I changed this pan yesterday I have not noticed any pee. Would…[Read more]

Hi, if I read this correctly the fight happened in Willow’s pen, so the core problem here is that it wasn’t in neutral territory. I made the same mistake when I first tried to bond my rabbit, and it does suck learning the hard way how important it is not to let them together on each other’s turf until they are bonded. Fights escalate quickly! I…[Read more]

I’ll try to keep this short!
In the last few days, our bun Topper has been having pee accidents all over the house. Never had this problem before, and she’s over 2 years old. She’s a free-roaming bun, but she can’t access the basement or the bedroom. Her pee accidents have only been in her room (on her bed and the floor) and in front of the ba…[Read more]

Ooh, I’m so sorry that happened! I’m glad that they’re both okay. Wishing swift recoveries!
What it sounds like to me, is that River is still getting used to his new enivornment, and a little anxious about all the new surroundings. My guess, is that all of this anxiety from him led up to the first little snitch in the tub, out of panic. When he…[Read more]
