I’d try simeticone baby gas drops too. 1 ml every hour for 3 hours, then less often. It often helps within 30 minutes or less. Gas is painful for rabbits and very common after a bout of stasis.

I recommend not allowing him on the bed. A big part of litterbox adherence is being neutered, as the hormonally-driven urge to mark territory is drastically reduced. Your husband just doesn’t realize that some rabbits are more difficult to handle than others and yours might be one of them. I think it’s a great idea to take them a couple of times and you can watch what method works for your vet with your rabbit. You can also have them show you how far to cut so you don’t have to worry about that.

Rice glue is not toxic (it’s made of rice) and the quantity that’s used to compose these toys (in terms of rice content) is generally harmless, in my experience with toys that have used it.
