Both of you thank you so much for the fast answers!
I’m already seeing some amelioration on my buns side. The small one is still skittish, but he seems to be getting used to the smell and this morning he grabbed the treats out of my hand which he didn’t do when we got the pup.
Thanks again for the help I will take it slow with them

So we have 2 boys that are about 3 weeks apart in age. Skittles is almost 3 months and Copper is about 9 weeks. They have been together for about 2 weeks and are starting to mount. Both do it though I think Skittles is more submissive. We are going to neuter both at 4-5 months if we can. Can they be safe and happy together until then or do I need…[Read more]

Cardboard cat scratchers work well for rabbits who like cardboard — they are more robust, so they’ll last longer. Something plain like this is fine (My Fable chews them a ton):

For willow toys, it’s great that they’re eating them! You can actually get willow chunks through the Binkybunny Store, which can last much longer, as well as packs of…[Read more]

when I get my rabbits toys they play with them for a day then stop. I am looking to put carpet tiles down and don’t want to rip it, I also don’t want bored bunnies only enriched bunnies please. If you have any suggestions of toys for them that would help a lot. They seem to like willow but they are gone in a like a hour. They also like car…[Read more]

So it is important that you provide plenty of things for them to rip up when they want to– that drive to chew/dig is not going change, so it is the responsibility of us rabbit owners to provide each rabbit with as much stimulation as their energy level seems to require. If yours are higher on the spectrum of destruction, you need to get more toys…[Read more]

Thank you for the idea. I found a loop pile carpet tiles. Do you think that they would be able to tear this up? They are very dedicated to ripping thing apart, and have done so to all of the things possible to rip up, books, their beds, fleece, my medium pile carpet, bedsheet, purses, wires, curtains, harnesses, leashes, brushes, litter boxes, my…[Read more]

Both the buns and the dog will know of each other’s presence, because both species have a far, far more acute sense of smell than humans. Since the dog is a pup, she’ll likely more or less just accept the situation as it is. That’s how dogs have come to be man’s best friend, going back sth like 40 000 years or so -dogs accept what the hoomin says…[Read more]

You can try low-pile carpet squares, which are typically easy to find in hardware stores! They usually have a rubbery-backing, so they will stay firm on top of coroplast/vinyl without needing to tape them down or anything.

I am making a new cage for my bunnies once they are bonded. I have a cage for one of my bunnies which is a exercise pen with a luces of wood covered in vinyl squares as the floor but that is slippery for her. The other cage I have for Ollie my other bunny is a c&c cage the bottom is coraplast which used to have fleece on the bottom for the floor…[Read more]

Cinnimon&Ollie replied to the topic Bonding an adult female to a baby male in the forum BONDING 5 years ago
If you want the baby boy rabbit I would start with pre bonding like said, but I would wait until he is neutered. ( after he is neutered you need to wait a month of you could end up with baby bunnies) I would do this to make sure the bond is lifetime.

It is normal for bunnies to be scared of rabbits, they are prey animals. Just take it slow and it would most likely turn out great. My first bunny had no fear of anything, she wanted to be friends with the dog. My other rabbits though was like hell no. He know though is ok with the dog after some time, it just takes time.

I haven’t heard of anyone trying anything like this. My gut tells me that a neck brace probably isn’t a great idea. I know there are those “soft” collars meant to keep a bun from messing with sutures, but I think that would also prevent them from eating their cecals and might just be very stressful for…[Read more]
