I reached out to them yesterday. They vaguely answered the drinking question by saying that people are often surprised by how much a small bunny can drink. And they focused a lot on how much bigger and how much more hay I should provide him. I think his teeth should be fine as I finally got him to eat 2nd cutting Timothy from rabbit hole hay and…[Read more]

I’m sorry your bun passed away.
I agree with Dana, rabbits are frail in many respects, but they dont normally die from being carried and put back in their cage. I too think something else was wrong with her.
It’s still so very sad though 💔

I know @Sonn has been working on the “Potato Patch” for Tater Tot and Spud! Not sure if it’s finished yet though!

I’m so very sorry for your loss 🙁
I think it’s very normal to feel guilt when we loose a beloved pet, and important to learn from our mistakes, but I don’t think you carrying her was for sure what caused her death. Fear can cause heart attacks, but usually only with prolonged fear (such as a dog barking at growling at a bunny right outside the…[Read more]

Unfortunately a lot of airlines have cracked down on “emotional support animals” and no longer allow “exotics” since it was being abused/overused (there was a high profile case of someone bringing a peacock on a plane….).
@Darth.liv uggghhh that’s so stressful. Have you looked into any pet relocation services? Perhaps they might be able to…[Read more]

Hi there!
So I’m not sure what the timeline was for your past bonding, but I don’t think they were fully bonded. I don’t think the full 6 weeks is really necessary in most cases (I think 3 is a better rule of thumb, and then go off how the buns are behaving), but her hormones could have been at play and triggering his mounting. Or they just…[Read more]

That is a lot of water. I would definitely mention it to the rescue, they may not have noticed it while he was there (and it’s something a vet wouldn’t know just from a check up if no one told them).
Drinking a lot can be an indication of dental pain (which might also explain the hay-selectivity), or kidney issues, among other things.

I agree with Bam that prob best just to leave it to come off on it’s own. If it’s just on the fur it won’t harm once it’s dried.

Also ( I forgot to add ) you don’t want him/her to eat it, I know when my bunnies get something stuck to their fur I have to trim it off because they try to eat it.

I would trim it off. You don’t know what is in the type of nail polish. Some are made with different things. But it most likely will be fine if you decide to leave it.

Hello,
I wanted to ask for any experiences and opinions. I’m looking to bond my 1yo Holland Lop male who is neutered. I really prefer another lop and haven’t had any luck finding one around his age and fixed. How risky is it to adopt a 3/4 month old who isn’t spayed and try to bond them after she is spayed and not hormonal? I know it’s up to the…[Read more]

I killed my rabbit because of my mistakes, I knew that rabbits were very easily stressed and could die from stress and yet I kept carrying her etc. one day she peed on my bed and I carried her and put her in her cage quite briskly I think she was scared yesterday I got up and she had a heart attack during the night, I think I’m a monster I had her…[Read more]

I dont think you need to worry, if it’s not a huge lot. It will come off eventually. Once its dry, if someone can help you hold him in their lap, you mighy be able to cut off some of the hair that has nail polish on it with a pair of small scissors.
