Yes, atypical syphilis (which is more common than previously thought) can present as sores around the nose and mouth. Unless your bunny was partaking in some “spicy” hay (aka power cords)… it’s possible this could be a burn too.

There’s not a lot yiu can do unless you happen to have some meloxicam (metacam, loxicom and other brand names) on hand.

Do you think another bun could have injured him? If so, separate the buns for now.

Is your bun eating and drinking and pooping like normL? If not, you should try to get him seen as soon as possible.

Haha! Yeah, they were probably able to get cheap rent because the mall was trying to fill empty space. I wouldn’t take that as a red flag, necessarily. More important is their operation and how they care for the bunnies.

Bunnies do go through an adolescence phase. It would be more pronounced if she was unspayed, but even spayed/neutered bunnies will try to test boundaries when they are young and energetic.
